  • EVEN if it was youth day or something.. the outfit is just too much.. it took me a moment to even focus on the song because I was trying to figure out exactly what he was trying to do..

  • where is this located

  • Things like dress codes keep a lot of ppl from going to church.

  • Maybe it had something to do with what they were doing that day. I'm not saying it's okay if it's not for what their doing.

  • I didnt even notice his shirt til it was discussed in the comment!

  • I'm not saying the young man isn't saved and that he doesn't love the Lord. I just think we need to reconsdier what is appropriate for the house of God and not allow our wanting to be "non traditional" to cause us to become loose in sanctification and holiness because we want to be more appealing to the youth.

  • I totally understand what you are saying, but this particular situation was beyond his control. I just don't want young people to be discouraged from coming to the house of the Lord because of what they happen to be wearing. I want them to know that they can come as they are. Once they give God there heart then they can began the process of making other necessary changes. But we definetly teach sanctification, so I hear what your saying.

  • I would also like to add something to everything that is being said, being that I am that young man in the video. One important information has been neglected to be mentioned; that was the dress code for that night. Everyone had to wear army fatigue that night. I purchased mine that evening and it was the only thing available. That absolutely was not intentional.

  • This has nothing to do with tradition. It is amazing people take what should be appropriate and they discard it because they consider it tradition. What is important is the fact that there is a standard for ministry, and music is a ministry. Any seasoned person in the Lord will tell you that what you wear can be a distraction from what you are trying to do. And if you don't see anything inapropriate with what is being worn, then that makes me question if you know what Romans 12:2 says.

  • Why is this young man singing in front of the congregation with a sleeveless shirt on?

  • We don't get caught up in tradition. This clip took place at a youth conference during the concert night, and there is clearly nothing inappropiate about what the young man is wearing. It is more beneficial to focus on what is being ministered in song rather than what the singers are wearing. Stay focused on what is important my friend.

  • Go Chris!!
