nokia and intel joined up to do meego so that means since skype is on n900 it is also on the meego platform nice looks like i'm going towards meego platform..still waiting to see blackberry playbook and android 3.0 gingerbread
Wow, it really looks good, aside from some missing animations, it looks outstanding.
As long as you can keep sane interfaces for the rest of the applications (calendar, mail, etc), this will definitively deserves a spot in the tablet market, it's considerably better than the iOS 4 or Android.
1.-Is MeeGo customizable as Meamo? you know, running terminal, installing games or controling the OS from command line, themes, python.
2.-Maemo apps will be compatible with MeeGo?
And 3.-Is this version of MeeGo will be available to install in a netbook? because this version of MeeGo is cooler than the white color-netbook version.
@DJQwamii it won't. It's been announced quite a while ago that Nokia N900 won't get it. Very disappointing for me as i own the phone, which i quickly sold a few days ago. It's a great phone and i don't understand and see how stupid Nokia is for not wanting to make it available for the Nokia N900, but ya Maemo will die slowly in the future as Meego will be their concentrated project since it's suppose to be Maemo 6, the final build of the Maemo.
@inawarminister it's hard to keep faith in the community when Nokia, the main supporter itself, abandons us. I mean, this isn't the first time they've done that, look at all the previous Maemo devices, from Maemo 1 to Maemo 5, and guess what, they're all still the same un-finished product.
Sure, the modding or hacking or developing community is great and i hope they survive this, but it's hard to believe that when the main support is gone. Just like how UIQ3 died when SE abandoned it.
@DJQwamii there is already a n900 image for meego, but it's not an official one from nokia, i tried it today, but it's under development and not useable atm
@DJQwamii It already does have a dedicated version of MeeGo 1.1 for N900. You are just addicted to trolling so you don't keep up to the news but just spit on other people's hard work.
looks interesting... meego i think is concentrating on tablet devices more than smartphones. howd they have those apps? they already have developers ?
I adore this ui, than my android. Fluidity, user friendly.

@vaibzzz123 Yep... Sooo sad, windows phone 7 sucks. And they developed meego for a quite long time.
spongebobrules99 7 months ago
@spongebobrules99 yeah, im sure they still have a little crack open for MeeGo, but they wont touch it for a while
vaibzzz123 7 months ago
@vaibzzz123 I hope so. It still works with netbook and even desktop pc:s ;)
spongebobrules99 7 months ago
@spongebobrules99 yep, but it wont run on my pc cause i have an AMD proccessor :(
vaibzzz123 7 months ago
It looks stunning, but every more recent video of MeeGo looks like crap in comparison.
I hope more "themes" go for this look than the standard crap look.

the 1 % went to some inconsistencies.

I have a couple of questions to ask.
1.-Is MeeGo customizable as Meamo? you know, running terminal, installing games or controling the OS from command line, themes, python.
2.-Maemo apps will be compatible with MeeGo?
And 3.-Is this version of MeeGo will be available to install in a netbook? because this version of MeeGo is cooler than the white color-netbook version.
csrpazzi 1 year ago
@csrpazzi 1) I think I saw the Terminal in 1:53. And rest assured, MeeGo is just KDE on mobile (since both are running in Qt, hehehe)
2) I think so... After all, MeeGo are just Maemo upgraded...
3) I don't know...
- Just a random Internet user, don't mind me..
inawarminister 1 year ago
@inawarminister Yeah I saw a Terminal app as well. I'm guessing this is some kind of Unix OS with a custom DE.
CompsciWiz 1 year ago
@CompsciWiz Eh, MeeGo IS Linux. WIth Qt, which means it (should) be compatible with KDE-based apps. So yes.... -_-

@MrShadowz1337 Hey, have some faith at the developer community, don't you? I'd say that N900 will get MeeGo, like G1 still supported by hackers now~

what a question, its made by nokia-, intel- and linuxdevelopers, also there is a huge base of opensource and free developers.

Would the meego phone ui has two modes?
Panel mode and simple mode and a lock screen
i suggest that the multiple panel mode on phone shoud be something like this
one colume per phone screen, slide to next column, has isons on top to select which column you want to go to
