if you dont mind me asking what all you got done to it.. bc i trying to gt my gmc sierra long bed running similar to that. i want a 383' msd system i got header 2.5' exhaust want .373 rear gears but what kind of tranny to make her burn like that full speed or burn tha rubber off then tires.... lol.. any help please....

this has to be one of my favorite chevy truck on you tube, I have a 79 LWB and I had the same look in mind with also a stroker motor the wheels are just awesome are they centerlines? I get so tired of seeing the BIG rim thing. Also what does it feel like to drive with the narrow tires what did the set cost and what is the rim and tire dimentions. thanks

@budz400 i order the rims from Centerline.(about $800 set) The narrow Mickeys are a pain in the ass on the highway, I've since gone with a 205/70R15 on the front and they are much better to drive with and look about the same. Thanks for the comments.......

lowroller, i just sold my 86 gmc. i saw you wanted to go lower. i used 78-88 g-body car heafers, long tubes, 15/8' primarys and 3" collectors. Being they were for a car, they were perfectly even with the inside of the frame, so you can run long tubes on a lowered truck. just an fyi

Also I see you have the side exit exhaust like my truck and i was wondering if during your restoration you came across a company that makes dual rear exit exhaust. I personally like that look better but i can't find any companies that make any systems like that.

I have a 1977 Chevrolet Reg cab long box, 383 stroker and turbo 350 transmission and 4.88 rear end, truck is my drag and street truck it can run 13's all day long. this is exactly how mine would look except long box haha i love this truck. did you redo eberything off lmc?

@DammitLeroy I did use LMC for some of the interior pieces. Stuff like door panels, seat belts, dash trim panels and chrome wheel wells. I tried not to use them so much becouse of their shipping charges. If U R going to buy stuff from LMC, make a list of everything you need and make one order, that way U wont get raped with shipping charges. Good Luck!

@Lowroller383 Yah i want it to be looking the part truck is my drag and street truck, but im running 3 inch to flowmaster 40/s with 3.5 inch outlet mufflers sit above the axle exhaust from headers n mine sounds way more deeper n doesnt got the lumpy sound the 383 usually makes lol. Its built up and maybe running 550HP with 9.1 compression, N my bill from LMC will be like 5 grand haha. Just dont know if i should keep the long box, or try and find a short box.

@ltr450ride I havent had any yet. Ive had four trucks like this one (lowered with side exhuast). The problem I do have rigtht now is, I would like to loweer the front another 3 " but the full lenght headers are only 4" from the ground now. If Ihad to do again I would go with shorty headers!

@chisam14 29x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson. I had Centerline Racing Wheels make my rims, 15x10 w/ a 4 7/8 backspace. (if I had to do it again, I would have made a 5"backspace) In the rear I flipped the axle over, I welded the spring perches on the bottom of axle. I also installed 2 1/2 drop shackles on the back of leaf springs. C-section in the frame, so axle doesnt hit. Thanks for the comment, take care..
