What an amzing cover! One of the very few to take a Motown song, and one led by Levi Stubbs at that, and make it as exciting as the original! I don't know of many who could do that. I love this, and Rita is just such an original performer- WOW! ON top of that, I think this is about the only version of "Somewhere My Love" that I really, and I mean REALLY like.

Some of the actual Motown singers recorded their American hits in Italian. Obviously there was a recognized market in Italy for these songs, for the Supremes and Four Tops and others to learn the lyrics as best they could, and record them with the original musical backing.
