Nice Idea. I actually just glued a piece of Dowel to the end of the Charango. So I didn't have to drill either. But this is a nice easy method too.  Cool. Thanks for contributing to the world of Charangos.

Simply different with others tutorial...most of them buy a lace from the shop and that's costy aren't it?well,yours i could say just super brilliant with the bootlace!

Thanks for the video, I was wondering about how safe was drilling a hole at the bottom of my charango, this is much better. Any ideas about installing a pickup to a Charango?. Thansk again, great job!

@000Lucho000 i know its been a year but the best you can do is get a piezo pickup from amazon and just use that

This is a fantastic idea. I've spent too much time pondering how to get a strap on my charango. For anyone that doubts this works - it does, and it is very easy to pull off. I didn't even use a strap i just used a very long shoelace and tied a partial knot where you have the "cable tie". Thank you thank you thank you

This is so useful. I've just started with the Charango and find it impossible to hold so this is great. Very amusing the way bootlace comes up when you say bootstrap.

You still have to keep your right arm against the charango to keep it in position, don't you? Finding a comfortable position is a challenge for me.
