Private collectors / gun shops just like a normal gun, they are just VERY expensive (minimum $5,000 of most) since you can only buy ones made before 1986, they are kind of like vintage cars.

This "M-4" has a 1980's design(use to have a 1988 Colt Firearms catalog)and rear back sights similar to older original 1960's M-16 and no forward assist.Remember the 1986 movie,"Platoon".Characters,"Sg­t Elias" & "Sgt Barnes" had the exact same models(except their carbines had 20 rd box mags).

I think gun laws everywhere are more restrictive than the USA. Because it's the only country with the right protected by the constitution. Contries that allow private gun ownership have restrictions on the caliber, number of rounds it holds, no semi-auto rifles, etc.

Perhaps there are some lawless regions like Iraq and Pakistan where you can buy anything.

Hickok I have a question for you. I live in Mississippi and am building an AR 15 for my teenage son. ( to use under my supervision of course). When I ordered the Bolt carrier group, I didn't know that it was a full auto M16 Bolt carrier. The ATF regulations seem rather vague on the subject. @97yankeeboy If you have a class 3 license you can own fully automatic and suppressed weapons its just really expensive... AR15 is kind of a generic term for the civilian models of eugene stoners m16, the m4 is a shortened fully automatic carbine version of the 3 shot burst m16.
