  • I néver seen them... Néver ! So this video is a great opportunity to watch these beautiful ducks... Thanks Phil !

  • They are lovely wee ducks. I have never seen anything like them before. I must get some of my animal and bird footage together so you can see the sort of wildlife we have.

    Thanks for this.

    :)

    Dorrie

  • That would really make my day Dorrie, and I hope you do soon, I am waiting ;) - Phil

  • Thanks for the info on those beautiful ducks! I haven't seen them before, so it was a treat to see them! I probably wouldn't see them any other way than from you!! *hugs*

  • I may not see them for a long time after they move on, which is usually around April. I wish they would stay. Hugs

  • Dear Phil,

You seem to have lots of Duck varieties around you to film them..It is a pleasure to see them in your videos. You have given lot of chances to see these different duck types for us..That is very valuable and we also get a knowledge about them..

Thanks a lot for your precious time..

    Menu

  • Thank you Menu. As I have said, a lot of them fly in and out, they dont stay and I wish they would, then I could get to admire them longer and share more videos of them.

they are cute! 5 stars! lol JIMARLILY!

  • A lot of people have not Jim. some may have seen them and mistaken them for a Gull from a distance.

  • another great video my friend, seems that a wide variety of birds live there!.

  • Thank you Najib my friend. some remain here, but a lot just use it as a watering hole and feeding ground on their journey to their destination. I am glad to be able to see them and share them with you all.

  • thanks Phil. Another welcome addition

    James

  • Thank you James.

  • What lovely little fellows! You are truly blessed to have such an amazing treasure trove of beauty that you can access! Such a rich variety of unique waterfowl! I am positively green with envy, enjoy it my friend!

  • It is thanks to the reserve we get to see them, if that was turned into houses and appartments, they would not be here and that would be sad.

  • That has happened to the farm behind my parents home on the hill. First the lower 100 acres was consumed by an interstate highway about 35 years ago then about 12 years ago, the remaining200 acres became a housing plan along with two other farms and a horse stabling operation. So much is being lost to urban sprawl :-(

  • love the video phil, quite a library of species you are building up,love and respect scotty and libby:0)

  • Isnt it amazing how many different birds there are in such a small area. I knew there was a few, but when you start to put the individual vids together, i am like wow! ;)

  • I wonder is that a mated pair? The male being the white one? I kinda' thought that the brown one looked like a female mallard, but, I know little of duck species.

  • I am presuming so, as they are the only pair I have seen on the reserve, but I supsect, that there are more further a field, just I have not seen them yet. I hope so at least.

  • Superb video Phil, I like the way you are taking a single species now and making a study from them, keep them coming:)

  • I am just making a playlist of the different birds etc.. that I come accross on the walks around the reserve and parks so people can see them on thier own for a minute or two.

  • Nice footage, Phil! I also never heard of them! You are providing me with an education!

    5 teaching stars!

  • Thank you. I do not know much about these birds, apart from that they come here every so often in the winter. Never seen them with young or a nesting area.

  • Good to see you posting Phil.

Loved the video. I needed to calm down with a

    nice video.

    Loves,

    Moo
