I dont mind the john deere as they have quite a bit of lifting power. The only problem I found was that the cab interior was pretty noisy. I had to wear earplugs still even with the doors and windows closed. Maybe they have added insulation in the last couple years though.
I would definetly buy a John Deere skidsteer but the Bobcats are smaller and cost a little bit less and even the smallest model of a John Deere skidsteer like a 313 or 315 would be to big for my truck to hual, and to big for my jodsite and maybe weigh down the grass a little to much but other than that I would choose a Deere if anyone else one looking to buy a skidsteer.
Do all John Deere skidsteers have that "shock" that helps it go up? and how much would you think the door weighs?and I'm thinking about buying a John Deere 313 skidsteer and I know your dads is only a 325 but how deep are the tire tracks when you ride with it on the grass in the spring? because I always lay down mulch in my garden every spring and I might use the 313 I'm getting for that, thanks
@TheBobcatcrazy1 This particular one is a 2005, we bought it with 600 hours. The only use we have for our skid steers is plowing snow. We have either a snow blade or pusher for every machine, 3 buckets and one set of forks.
Hi, I am just completly obsessed with john deere skidsteers but the 1 thing I hate about them is that the door opens upwards and I just want to know how much it weighs and is it heavy to lift up and open it? Thanks.
@TheBobcatcrazy1 Well on this one, the door is missing one of the bearings that runs along the rail, it has a nut in place so that makes it a little harder to open. But on the other one as soon as you open the door it lifts up about six inches by itself, then you just lift it up all the way, this is thanks to a shock that helps it go up.
No complaints here, I think its a great performing machine. We only use it for plowing snow, and it does a great job. It also sounds and looks better than all the other brands. But the New Hollands are faster than these.
The 325 is awsome. We have 2 of them at work that I use. They have tons of power and break out force, great lift capacity as well. They have good visibility and they are smooth as well. Not quite as smooth operating as a Bobcat but way more balls. They have good balance. One of ours is a 2005 with 3200 hours on it and we have had NO problems at all. Most important they sound like it will kick your ass lol and they do. Its 2 months late but it you want more info I got it for ya.(specifics)

@triden55
Yeah, I know what you mean. But they do make them with a sound suppression package.

What kind of attachments do you have for your skidsteer? and what year is it? and did you purchase it new? Thanks.
