You will now be forced to give crooked insurance companies your money or pay a fine/jailtime.
latests data suggest that the public option will cost more than private insurance & less than 2% will be eligible.
The entire intention of this bill is the insurance mandate. Insurance companies will be stronger now, so we will never get real healthcare reform and universal healthcare.
Thanks Obama.
no wonder the health sector contributed more to your campain than anyone else.
less than 2% of the public will be eligible for the public "option" (lol @ option). If your employers healthplan sucks and can make you bankrupt, you are not eligible.
We should realize that denying health care to American citizens is an act of terrorism. We need to vote the Terrorist Republican Party out of office everywhere and drive them back to the Nazi hell they came from.
The Republican Party votes 100% to kill these Americans yet vote 100% to send our billions to Israel,so their people will have good government health care for their people, just not you.
Then they send the rest of your money to outer space and the moon.
Republicans hate Americans and vote to kill 44,000 of these people without blinking an eye. They just love money not Americans.
Uh, you can go to any emergency room and hospitals are not allowed to refuse you, because they are required to provide indigent care to anyone who needs it.
The morally bankrupt Republicans and others who have been scare-mongering about health reform are not fit to lick this woman's shoe. They have no workable answers at all for people in her situation. The public option is a wimpy compromise, single payer is the real answer to containing costs and actually helping people. .
Everyone is getting all worked up over this public option and its just a smokescreen to distract people who want real change.
less than 2% will be eligible for the public option. If you have crappy insurance and are going broke, then you are not eligible.
not only that, but you are now mandated to participate in your employers crappy insurance even if it sucks and doesnt keep you from going broke from co-pays and deductibles.
The final form of the bill is still under consideration. It will likely cover about 60% of those without health insurance and help many more with health insurance. Once it is passed, there is nothing to stop Congress from expanding it. The point is to get something with a public option passed. Then we can tackle the job of opening it to all people who need it.

It is so sad that the government has destroyed the health care system in America.

For profit insurance should be illegal. In the USA all insurance was non-profit, then something changed....

Wow, so polite despite being in such a dire position.
Thankfully, the grandstanding whores Landrieu and Lincoln have decided to let debate go on ahead. How generous of them.

LOL.
I am sorry, but if you think thats going to happen, then your very gullable.
This bill sets the public "option" up to fail.
All the while strengthening the lobbying power of insurace companies by giving them thier "golden mandate".
This is a nothing more than a private health insurance sector bailout.
This is health INSURANCE reform, not healthCARE reform.
Sorry, but Obama sold us out, dont shoot the messenger. He is just another crooked politician unfortunatly. ITs obvious now,

I am currently insured but it is not morally acceptable to me that so many millions of my fellow citizens are shut out of the system.
