My belief is that it's a joking parallel to a love relationship with the microphone.

Basically, the microphone finally 'leaves' her, and just when she's beginning to miss 'him', she begins to form a relationship with a broom. Suddenly, the microphone walks in on her and the broom, shocked and dismayed to see that she has 'fallen in love' with another...inanimate object.

Very odd video, but I like it; I didn't quite get it the first time either. For all I know, I still might not. ^^;;
