hey i've been trying to grow an afro and i started in august, but I've been using a metal pick, no conditioner, and no cream. NOW I'm still trying to grow it but I'm using V05 shampoo and ultrasheen cream for a few months and it still looks the same :( I want my senior pic to be with the afro you got on your hair journey #6. My senior photo is in Novemeber so I have about 7 months to grow it. You think I should start all over and cut my hair or try to fix it and let it keep growing?

Hey Jodie, i am a male, and i have semi-afro hair, i have been growing my hair for about a year now and its quite long. my mother has pure afro hair and mine is kind of curly/afro its very thick and curly. i was just wondering if you could give me any tips on how i could make my hair grow down to shoulder length/back length.
