went out this afternoon around 2 pm to shoot a video of them. There were a few random peeps, but they were pretty inactive. I went out again at 6pm and they were peeping with abandon !
Just had success this year. I walk around the pond where the undergrowth is not that thick. When I hear a peeper, go low to the ground. Move around so you can zero in on its location. It helps to have a head light. Turn it on and look for the moving throat sac. They are usually very shiny too. Scan from bottom up. It works for me. Caught 3 tonight!! They sometimes call in captivity which is very entertaining! Good luck!
