But this kid has a pick on each finger, And what does a pick do ? Ruin Dynamics, you almost can't put Dynamics into it then, A pick is good for Rock / pop / Rhythm guitar in general.

@napischu I don't get you. If you want to see someone doing some weird faces then you should just watch some Mr Bean movies. If you want to listen to beautiful music then just listen. He was just very well disciplinated by his music teacher, the right thing to do when you're playing erudit music at an orchestra for example is to be neutral and try to play the song staying focused. Music is about thinking and talking with sounds, it's nothing to do with looks.

Sungha is a terrific guitar player, and I assume the "cold" playing comes from all the discipline it takes to play like that at such a young age (I'm not talking about now, I'm referring to when he was freaking NINE). I believe that it will come with age, and while his playing lacks emotion, his age, his relentless devotion, and his humble approach (You never see him boast like most guitar players do) just win me over time and time again.

@DJInspyr Of course we all have our own views. My view though is that the whole "lack of emotion" thing is hardly a proper argument. Different people feel different (or lack thereof) emotions while listening to so-and-so play. It doesn't really matter what the player is feeling, it matters what the listener is feeling. For example, I feel extreme amounts of emotion while listening to Dr. Wily's theme from Megaman 2. However, those instruments are indeed being played by robots (synthesizers)

About practicing: These are not difficult pieces. They do not require uber skill to play. Techniquewise, this is something that's on the level of 5th grade music school. It's not somethign like fire cadenza. What matters here is if it is played with feelings. And this is something that Sungha Jung, despite his young age, can do quite well. And this is something no amount of practice will give you if you dont have it. So thumbs up.

Meaning any new song (not sure about cover/arrangement/composing) that's uploaded under jwcfree was practiced by Sungha for a total of about 10 hours total.
