I completely agree with the "gaps" comment Mr. Court made. However, in Japanese Jujutsu, "teko shime" (clock choke) is not the same as an erebeta/ten shi shime (elevator/north-south choke). They are two different shime waza (strangulation techniques). They are both good but I prefer the japanese method much better. It offers more options and therefore executes much smoother than most bjj techniques.
