  • very helpful

  • I guess the clean part comes with practise. I skinned my first pheasants outside last week and had feathers all over! My husband thought that was really funny seeing me with pheasant feathers in my hair. I kept the thighs and they were pretty tough when I roasted the bird. Next time I will try soup as you suggested.

  • thank nice simple vid

  • I found this very useful first time cleaning a bird tried and tested and easy to do

  • You know your a redneck when you gut animals in the living room.

  • @hookitbigger

it is a basement laundry room , and it is a clean job as u c

  • @hookitbigger yea lol we would refer to them as 'chavs' in this country or in some parts 'scuzers' not to be confused with 'scousers' which describes a person from liverpool. I bet he has a trolly jack in the living room as well as some black market tobacco and probably some old car tyres. I bet he has the car they are off is standing on bricks in his front garden, with all weeds and grass growing round it. The local kids probably all sit in it smoking weed.

  • @hookitbigger whats a red neck?

  • @hookitbigger I done mine in the kitchen

  • cool

  • Who cleans birds in the house..

  • @AB8907 plenty of people.

  • I have a friend coming over with some freshly killed pheasants for me right now so this video will come in very handy. Thanks.

  • I wouldn't call this the "Easy" way. Check out the other methods of standing on the wings and pulling on the feet. Works quicker and cleaner for Pheasant and Grouse.

  • What the pluck are you doing?

  • we just set him on the ground step on the wings one foot on each wing feet close to breast and pull legs breast comes right out you can even wrap wings over breast shove that fucker in your pocket go looking for the rest of his kin

  • thanks, very helpful, very easy. just got done.

  • fantastic video, thanks for sharing this.

not seen it done this way before.

  • love cleaning them that way. nice clean quick easy

  • Takes a while that way, check out my easy method. Search YouTube for Easy Pheasant Cleaning. I did it the way you do for years until a friend showed me this shortcut. One thing I failed to metnion in the YouTube is it's best to wear gloves in case your hand slips; talons are sharp!! Comments Welcome.

  • Good vid, but I have a tip for ya....If you cut the wings off as the first step with some game shears, you can then do the same thing you did but the breast will pull right away from the rest of the bird. Even faster and easier than taking the wings off last....

I can clip wings and rip the breast in less than a minute. I usually don't keep the thighs....not a lot of meat there...

  • I cut off the wings first - good idea

also I keep the thighs for a great pheasant soup

done same as chicken soup - tastes great

  • it is a dog's cage

  • love the cage in the background and what was in the cage u ask? PHEASANTS!! lol

  • Thanks for the info. What is the best way to cook a pheasant?

  • well done!
