This scene reminds me so much that we as humans are the real animals, when what we consider to be animals kill they try to make it fast and they do it to eat but us. . .we feel that we must destroy everything, we don't take the time to understand something. Johnny 5 is alive, sure he's metal and parts but that doesn't define alive, I mean if you look at it we are flesh and parts but we are alive, he is much more then that. Farther more, he is our friend, it is heartbreaking to watch this scene.

With everything combined, the attack, the crying out for help, controlling the planes for a chance for survival, the music, it floods you with every sympathetic emotion.

It makes you want to go and fight the bad guys and save Johnny Five.
