Quite the opposite. Many Mugen inventions were in fact based off *his* moveset, when he was still K9999.

Many of his old moves are gone now.

Correction: they've been balanced out so he plays better. He hasn't lost anything from 2002. The only changes in his gameplay are that he has a normal sweep for crouching D, while a move that emulates his old one is now a command normal, and his hitboxes (hitting and hittable) are bigger in most cases.

That's one way of putting it. I think it's more like he's become who Faust is to the guilty gear series tho, when they decided not to keep him as Dr. Baldhead.
