@twoplyboy Ok, so what are the hose, and the water sound at 3:09 and the big puddle on the floor at 3:17 ? And also the yellow hose at 3:30 ? Thanks you !
@paul9511 ok 309 is a water hose and they used it for a machine that pumped concrete in to the hole in the wall...reinforcing the walls....puddle is from the machine...they had a few working there or from when we tripped the dry system....the yellow hose.....from the same machine....it ran on air to pump the stuff.
i think he said it was a retirement home. it would make sense for the speakers. but my moms retirement home (where she works) has 10" bells!!!! i bet people have heart attacks when the alarms go off!
@MircomFan Ouch! When my elementary schools had the Simplex bells, I would get startled when I heard a bell in a video/on TV that sounded like the Simplex bells. But woe is me.
lol....no when I enter both stair wells you can hear it. that noise your talking about is some construction guys. the drilled about a hundred holes into the wall and are now pumping concrete into the holes to stabilize the foundation building next to us. at 2:05 and at 6:00 you can hear or see the fan.
by the way how ddid you tell the stairwells were pressurized? and what pressurizes them like a fan from the top floor and I am guessing they are only pressureized when a fire alarm goes off?
well when I opened the door you can hear wind on the mic and it was hard to push open the door. The fan draws in fresh air from the outside and comes in the lowest place in the stairwell. This on here, is in P2 parking. They turn on when the FA goes or it could be forced on by a switch at the FACP
it can be turned on by a switch at the panel at anytime if ya wanted to.
yes, i'm not to sure what building your talking about. but some buildings do have the fan at the top blowing down like you said.
i've herd of a story from a guy at work. one year they did a alarm and the fan turned on and the fan is outside on the roof. well that sucker started up and took a pigeon into the fan and blew the insides of the bird all down the stairwell. hhahaa...nasty!
lol...yeah we made the announcement in both english and french twice and they still didnt under stand I guess. I just don;t have time to explain why it's going off. if I stop and talk to everyone the longer the bell test and the angry the management gets and so on.
No strobe notification? just a chime?

At 2:34, is that a insect killer (the blue light) on the parking wall ??
Did you do a sprinkler trip test in the parking garage and was it the reason of the activation of the alarm ?
paul9511 9 months ago
@paul9511 I dont know. I think its just a vent with daylight shinning through. No we use a pull station to set off the alarm.

StopDropandLOL 3 years ago
ah you dont really notice it. the only thing you feel is the wind running passed you as you open the door and the door is sometimes stiff to open.
