Not as strong as the original I know she wrote it but she should really remain as a background singer, I dont think she has what it takes to be a single pro she sounds to nazal almost its like she is struggling to sing, just my opinion
Definitely a different take on the song. Sharon's voice is different from Andrea's, not necessarily worse, but I do think in this particular version I prefer the Corrs version with Andrea singing.
I'll be interested to see if Sharon records this and puts it on her album. I have a hunch that this particular arrangement would work better in the studio than live.
I wanted to Sharon played the acoustic guitar with her singing... Because she can play the guitar, doesn't her, I think she can singing with playing the guitar by her?

I think Sharon's voice is more "folk", while Andrea's voice is far more "pop". I like Sharon's version alot- it's a different take on HER song (she wrote it, by the way).

Well, andrea and sharon both sing well but sharon's voice is nasal. Andrea is a better performer, has a prettier voice and is very active and nice with the audience. I think Andrea adds a young air to the group and make the performances funnier.
If you see Sharon's videos performing at Isle of Wight festival, you'll realize she just sings and play the violin. It's needed being in contact with audience like Andy does.
Yes you're right. But I also think Sharon has the voice and the capacity to go just like Andrea. Only I think Andrea is a little more free in her way of moving on stage. Sharon always seemed like the 'wise and quiet' sister to me, but I think that if she really wants to she can do it. Only she shouldn't want to because she's great the way she is!! I think they're both great and the Corrs are perfect the way they are.. :) It's just that when I hear Sharon sing I'm like: WOW!!!! You know?
oh yes! I agree with you, Sharon needs experience like a solo singer, but The Corrs are perfect the way they are. However, Sharon is a great singer too :) I don't mind she sings nasally, I like her voice too.
I agree. also andrea tells the story of the song with her facial expression. as you said, sharon just sings. I think sharon just has to get used to being solo , thats all. she's used to being in the background, and not really being engaging with the audience.
@Quique40 I agree with Kyraaah, I think Sharon can do everything as well as Andrea, but she needs more practice, IOW was one of the first times she was alone at the stage, she's accostumed to be in a second plane, doing backing vocals and playing the violin, Andrea has done a lot of performances but Sharon hasn't. I think she only needs to perfom some more times to do it as well as Andrea or even better
I like Sharon very much but it's very clear to me why Andrea was the lead singer. Andrea has the stronger voice and in my opinion the more melodious one, while Sharon's voice is very nasal. Sharon really needs to work on strengthening her voice. It's weak and shaky right now.
absolutely agree, sharon has a pretty voice, but definitely a weaker vocal. in my mind, she sings better as a background vocal, but who knows, maybe the more she sings her own material, the stronger her voice will get. but clearly,one should distinguish what vocal style your vocals fit best
Well it's normal, we're so used to Andrea's voice, at first I was very dissapointed with Sharon's version of So Young for the same reason hehe. But Sharon is great!!!
She also sings Goodbye by herself as well..she wrote both Goodbye and Radio for those who don't know. But Caroline and Andrea wrote Runaway.
