I've got some of the Celestial weapons now (working on the others) so I know about the 99,999 damage cap. But how, exactly, do you train people up to the maximum Strength (255 or something) to be able to hit that high?

You could just do Trio + Attack Reels for instant win. Failing that, any Overdrive will always hit no matter what. Although, Vidatu has very high defence and magic defence, so...
