She restores my faith in music artists. Too many times I see pop-stars whose music seems to be more about making profit than making art. Roisin is one of a few who are not only truithful artists but are strong, independant and fantasticly talented.

EMI isn't embarrassed to post this? She admitted to not have any ambition to be an artist but was sleeping with someone of influence and GIVEN a 6 album deal. @TIMOTHY5890 I'm 2 years late but I just saw your comment so whatever, I love Lady gaga and I love Roisin but if it wasn't for Miss Grace Jones neither Lady Gaga, or Roisin would exist the way they do. I love Murphy's work and look but it's already been done, She's just great at what she does but it doesn't make her the originator.

@ScienceProjek both of them are inspired by grace, yes, but it's Pretty Obvious that some of gaga's works (eh eh I got nothing to say, some of her live outfits in The Fame) are made thinking just about Roisin Murphy. It's not like Roisin is EXACTLY similar to Grace, none of her Personal Images were so similar to graces as gaga's are to Roisin's.

@ScienceProjek also, Grace didn't invent being weird either. there was Isabella Blow. :P but, Gaga could (and obviously was) inspired by roisin, despite the fact that she didn't invent the things she wear, she made her own little style, which gaga came and just imitated (in the next year Overpowered was shown) like, It was evident Roisin who she ripped off.

@ScienceProjek and I don't know, roisin has praised Grace as her inspiration, so has gaga, but when will gaga at least mention roisin? Not that I care so much. Roisin is still Authentic in her own Personally Molded Looks.

@NewtonSalem I doubt Lady Gaga even knows who Roisin is, Most people you run into on an ordinary day is clueless about Roisin Murphy. The only people Lady Gaga owes anything to is Iconic people, like Grace Jones. That's like praising Usher or Justin Timberlake, Just cut the chase and praise James Brown & Michael Jackson. Roisin is a sub artist, I love her but the reality is that she's noone.

@ScienceProjek Actually, Roisin and Gaga meet eachother one night, in a Roisin concert before gaga became famous. Gaga does know who Roisin Murphy/Moloko is, which could have given her an opòrtunity to see roisin's peculiar looks. Also, Excuse me, Roisin Murphy is a Complete artist, she is a songwriter, a great singer, dancer, designer, lyrics writer, and even poetist. and she is very Famous in Europe. Also, the fact that Roisin is Independent doesn't mean gaga can't rip her off, cuz she has.

The only way "thats" probable is if Grace Jones' name is mentioned to someone who was born post-1990, And even if it's true that "most people" don't know who Grace Jones is I'm more than sure a larger percentage is familiar with Grace Jones before Roisin Murphy. Grace Jones is iconic, So many female artists emulate her style. Everyone you just finished naming has acknowledged and knows EXACTLY who Grace Jones is,Even you.

Other Artists "are" people, Grace Jones is well known, I'm not sure what community you're representing but here in the GAY community all the Queens know who miss Grace Jones is. All of those artists you just mentioned have a GIGANTIC overlap of the same audience. Anyone who knows who Cyndi and Kylie is knows of GRACE.

@ScienceProjek I'm not. most of the people I talk to in youtube and other places ask me who is Grace Jones. and I actually go *facepalm* about it, even people from before the 90's :D. Of course Grace is more known, first, cuz She has lots of albums, Roisin has just 2. and Grace has a much bigger flamboyant outfit archive. Also, of course I know Grace, dummy, If not I wouldn't be having this conversation. Also, Grace is more iconic, but Roisin is also a Fashion Icon.

I love Roisin's music and dress sense. After seeing this video, I'm very impressed by her eloquence. She's clearly intelligent, plus she had that down-to-earth nature that I like about the Irish. I want her costumes so bad.
