Every time I watch this, I like it a little bit more. I find something else to appreciate about it. For an audition this early in the competition, this was immaculate! Everything about it is professional, just perfect. It should have more than pushed him past the judges stage to where America could vote for him.

He was not a professional. He had to play with the AI band and was unable to keep proper timing and then blamed it on the band. That's why he got the boot. He has a nice voice and his personality seemed fine until he messed with a world class band. If they can backup everyone else on the show why was josiah having such a hard time playing with them. It sounds like he was unprofessional and AI isn't going to stand for that.

@treasonhero You're half right. Simon did support Josiah as I recall, but that's not to say A.I. is a poor show now. I think that with the new judges, we're getting more artists than pop singers who can put out a successful single or two. Watch the show once or twice, cause sometimes we may get a Casey Abrams out of this, who does Nat King Cole blues standards. That show is in no way totally controlled by the judges haha

I downloaded his whole albums, and he's not like the rest of them. Kelly Clarkson was actually good too, but this kid has so much soul, so much feeling, that the idol judges just didn't know what to think of it. So of course they thought he didn't belong.
