  • Music like this only clarifies how bad music has become today.....WHAT'S MISSING?........in one word:MELODY!!!

  • @eddiebrian1 You're preaching to the choir when you say that to me. It's the single biggest fault of most of the popular music written in the past 40 years or so, and "why" is a difficult topic to discuss in the limited amount of space here. I've often told people that if the music, by itself, cannot hold up with no lyrics whatsoever, then why was it written in the first place? One might as well have just written a poem and read it out loud.

  • One of the best collaborations of two american composers, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, even featuring the heavenly vocals of Pat Boone and Bobby Darin. These four people are the ones that make each and every person listen to the nostalgic music that was heard before. But now, in spite of the fact that I'm a teenager, I wouldn't listen to the foul music that we have today. This is music that I know will never die.

  • were performing this song with my musical theatre group in our R AND H review XD

  • Hello again, Nocaro! Sorry, I keep forgetting your name! Beginning of Alzheimer, you know. Well, I'm collecting Bobbt Darin and although he's not mentioned in the main title, I thank YouTube's search engine to guide me until this video of yours to enable me to collect the song. By the way, I saw the movie, back in the 60s and I found it rather average. Of course, at the time, I was mainly a Rock & Roll kinda man, and I started to appreciate earlier music only by the time I was 50! Better late;;;

  • @ENACODNOM Make sure you locate Darin's "This Isn't Heaven" also from "State Fair" which I have posted to YouTube...Lanny (Nocaro)

  • The combination of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II is second to none as their musicals bring joy and happiness to every one.

  • I appreciate your effort! State Fair was a great musical! Thanks again!

  • I wish somebody out there would post the 1945 State Fair version of this tune!

  • LOL, well, I might but keep in mind it's a matter of sound quality and that one wasn't recorded in stereo, of course. Give me a week and I'll post it.
