hey man can you Private Message me? i have some questions regarding recording sounds from my Micron, wad wondering if you could help. Logic Pro is what I run, btw. Hit me back if you can.
OMG! I've bought a Micron a month ago and even though I've read the entire manual and played a lot with it, I never found out how to build drum patterns. How could you do this? It's amazing!
i wann a buy this same synth , but have never owned a synthesizer beflore, doese it come with a speaker in it or do i have to bbuy other stuff with it to make it sound? what do you recomend i get for a beginner
@TheTimgonyon synths generally don't come with a speaker. But simple headphones should do for starters. All you need are some keys to play on and a synth engine, the micron has both. There also are midi/master keyboards without a synth engine (e.g. to use with software synths) and so called expanders or desktop synths without keys (e.g. to be used by a sequencer like cubase, logic or ableton). The micron is a fun box with many possibilities, great for starters.
I made the rythm and combined several of the presets the micron offers. I'm a beginner when it comes to synths so I love to explore all the presets and play around with them. In upcoming videos you will see / hear some of my own creations too.
The micron can play up to 8 different sounds at once, with this you can create really complex beats. However you must keep in mind this is no mpc (sampler) but a virtual analog synthesizer - everything is calculated in realtime.
this is pretty cool man. i just got my micron and i'm wondering how you set this up. you do you set up the pads and water piano? any help would be awesome! thanks, -alex.
I don't like it that much :-( I think it is too static, next time I will use all the controls to change various parameters to make it more entertaining. I promise!
Well I cant disagree with you or anything as you know your setup best but I think it sounds very good as it is but if you know something that will improve your patterns then go ahead. ;)
Yes, but alot more to it actually. You get patterns, those are like little licks or melodies you can transpose in realtime, the standard arpeggio and so called rythms. You can create any of those really easy and trigger them in realtime, even record a phrase in realtime and play it back.
It comes with bout 200 drum "loops" ready to use, if you aren't into fiddling around it's ready to go. Plus you get roughly 300 setups too, a setup is a combination of different sounds, patterns and drums, even if you can't play a note with a setup you make MUSIC on the fly :)

@Persio809 enter rhythm mode and look at some presets I guess. That's how I learned it.

@peter47a so did you use any software for this?
hongdekong 10 months ago
@hongdekong only cooledit to record the audio in one go. Everything else comes straight from the synth itself.

this is sweet. and thanks for puttin up something with a rhythm.

pretty cool man. i really want one of these. Question though, did you make those beats yourself or were they all programmed?

micron is rockin da shit
blauwolfenduro 2 years ago
Yep. And now since the "new" AKAI MINIAK is the same as the micron just in a new case, the Micron's should be really cheap to get.
peter47a 2 years ago
well, here in germany you can get a micron slighty over 200 euro.there is one for 300 in ebaykleinanzeigen

is the background sound the synthesizer?
Genesis6561 2 years ago
Everything you hear is the synthesizer in realtime. Yes. It can play up to 8 different sounds at the same time.
peter47a 2 years ago
Hey I have a question; so basically you can set a backing track then play over it right? If so, then I'm pretty much convinced on getting this
elvinjohn7 2 years ago
You get a step/pattern sequencer, you can set backings but limited.
The maximum you can do is 16 bars with 32 steps thats 512 total steps.
Most patterns are about 2-4 bars and meant to add some rythm, a bassline or melodical phrases.
I will record some and upload a video later.

Is this just a midi controller or say can i play this live too? Like just DI it.
enchantertim515 2 years ago
All you see and hear is live. Powered by the Microns Pattern Sequencer and Synthesis engine.
The Micron is not a Midi Controller, it's a Virtual Analog Synthesizer.

Ok cool thanks I wasn't really sure. Thanks.
