Just got mine last week and the options are mind blowing, before that I had an MV8800 and an MPC 2500 and the octatrack is just so much faster and versatile, had a tune going in about 5 minutes but get under the hood an the sonic manipulation is incredible
X100!?!? Thats unbelievable. LIke I said there isn't any body just going crazy on it, so its hard to see what the thing is really capable of. Most people show "practical" applications, but I want to see whats on the far limits. If find that when you get into the really weird stuff although they might not make good music, if you use these weird techniques sparingly then it spices up the music for sure. I can't wait for your next vid. Thanx again.
Thanks bud! I've been wanting to get an octatrack but so far I haven't seen anything to warrant the purchase. I've got a Machine Drum and after falling in love with it I figured anything Elektron made would have to be golden. But as I said after researching it, I'm not so convinced.
@sharkbarf1 Yeah, it's not for everyone. When I recorded this video it was brand new and had no Midi and the OS was rather limited, but now.......oh man. It's like a machinedrum x 100. There are so many possibilities, I often have to turn it off just because of brain overload.
@Kabzoer It is making sound, I have it running through the moog, the volume for it is on the top of the mixer section on the voyager. Blends in though, so hard to pick out.
@robot0face thanks for your comments. Yeah, I wouldn't put this music on a CD and try to sell it or anything, was just having a jam and creating moving chords using 3 mono synths, thought it was kinda fun with these interesting textures within the chords using the different synths. But, yeah.......more interesting.
@dylannau yeah, maybe get way stoned and so some molly and drop some 4cid, then sit there and think, WTF... i really just mean you could use all that stuff to create a sound that is more unique. (?)
@LeoNacht Apparently more drugs are the answer to "the NEXT level", although, I don't think more drugs are gonna help with the setup and programming aspect of it.
@robot0face Unfortunately with a lack of a complicated sequencer or a massive loop recorder with easy controls (like a kaos pad) its extreemly difficult to produce what i think you mean by 'next level' music no matter how many drugs you consume, thats why progressive music is much more appealing to jam with i think :) if you did want to take it to the next level check out dubfx or beardymans use of the korg kaos pad and im sure you'l find all the inspiration you'l need :) max respect chap. Peace
@robot0face I'd love to hear your music. Where can we hear it? And as a very experienced drug user I will say to be careful. Drugs often times make you think you're achieving greatness when you're not. And other times they can open up creative channels. But it's not the key I have a feeling you think it is. Good luck.

In the manual for most of this equipment it states:
"Warning, Users must be on drugs at ALL times"

@robot0face Drugs have nothing to do with "more interesting music"! or "the next level" as you call it.
