  • G.I. JOE!

  • Typical hollywood.

  • Must be Mad Max

  • You make your assumption of possible roles for this with no background testing. I know you think this is cool in a way it is but not for military purpose. Scouts carry alot of fire power. This thing only carries a machince gun. A scout platoon in the army consist of 3 M1 tanks, 2 M2 bradleys 3 APC with soliders, two motar APC, two cobra helis, and mechanic and fuel support. Light scouts up armored Hummv. This thing simply is a poor design for modern warfare.

  • This a bad design because the suspension is exposed to blast. Once those oil filled shocks get blown off their mounts the the track will come off leaving you disabled in a kill zone. Tanks don't use shocks they use a torsion bar suspension system or a hydrostatic shock system that is protected within the tank hull. This vehicle is not safe and I wouild not put a soldier in it.

  • @omega3677 that's why they also made these bad boys unmanned, plus it would take alot to blow the shocks of there mounts

god you ripsaw haters are annoying

  • @legoSkrall Are you serious? You are a kid playing with legos and I am tank mechanic. I work on real tanks that has to have a real person in it. Don't be fooled by the show that being put on for TV. I worked in Iraq and say M1 tanks blown apart with blood of our soldiers in them. If a 4 million dollar tank coud get torn apart what do you think is going to happen to this poorly designed machine. For fun yeah but on the battle field no

  • @omega3677 no machine is perfect from the begining, this beauty needs some (major) adjustments, that's all

and yes i am a kid playing with legos, and that is why these machines impress me that much, i always had a weakness for tracked vehicles...

i think this machine has potential, perhapse a little overblown by discovery but that would be all

and btw, i wouldn't like to be in any vehicle when there shootin 50 cal. rounds at meh

  • @legoSkrall Its all good the tracks are pretty cool and could find a use in other roles. But not for military use because they are very under developed. When I was your age things like this interested me also thats why I joined the army as a mechanic. If you have any questions about real tanks just drop me a line.

  • @omega3677 as an actual assault vehicle, this isn't that good, but scouting an area, or as a fast convoy protection vehicle it would serve well if you ask me

    (unmanned offcorse)

  • @legoSkrall Why use this for a scout why you have unmmanded flying drones with mulitple sensor capabilities. With a drone you can see the whole battlefield and information can be relayed quickly back to commanders in the field. This thing can see over a hill or if the enemy is in dead space hiding out. But a flying drone can. The army already has robot tanks and other vehicle it nothing new. Google panther mine clearing tank.

  • @legoSkrall Use a flying drone for convoy protection. A drone can float over the main road and attack multiple targets from above. Put a tank beside the ripsaw and relieze that it will never go into production for a crewed tank. It would never survive the testing that the army would put it through. For example a real tank is modular so it can be taken apart and repair quickly in the field. Ripsaw would not even past that test. Like I said I can write book why I would not put a soldier in danger

  • @omega3677 ripsaw should be much easier to work on... it weighs about 1/10th of what a normal tank does, and is about half the size... much easier to handle, much much cheaper... hell you could probally buy another ripsaw for the price of the drive train of other tanks...

and putting soldiers in danger...its unmanned

  • @legoSkrall Even if its unmmaned it can be easily disabled and it could not do its job to protect soldiers. A RPG can knock a hole in in a M2 Bradley fighting vehicle so what think is going to happen when this takes a hit from a RPG with a shaped charge warhead. Look at modern tanks and you will not see any shocks mounted to the road wheel suspension arms. These guys have no clue what it is like on the battle field. If they did the design would be a whole lot different.

  • @legoSkrall Ask you self do you want to be in the riptid making a beach assult. Look at the specs for the front viewing port. 0.5 inchs of polycorbinate. Now imagine the enemy shooting you with a belt feed weapon like the .50caliber. Do you think the plastic windows is going to stop amor piercing 50cal rounds? No its not. Oh and the hull is made of then sheet aluminum. I can write a book on how bad these things are because I am a real thank mechanic that serverd in the army for over ten years.

  • Dude it's definatly made max

  • or thunderdome
