  • sc Johnson commercials are so dumb!

  • if s c johnson was a green company, they'd stop their cruel animal tests. and if you think animal testing is okay, maybe necessary, you don't know sh*t.

  • Where can I find more information on their animal testing? And in response to everyones comments on not knowing anything, that is the purpose of this video.among many other videos here on Youtube....for me and the world to learn more about this company and what they stand for. People have commented on both sides of the spectrum and I appreciate the comments because it helps us all learn. Thank you for opinions.

  • S.C. Johnson has not used CFCs for thirty years. Get with the program dude. The methane they use from the nearby landfill is used to power one of their boilers. Perhaps a little research might be beneficial before you make a vid. Opinions are one thing- facts are another.

  • SC Johnson was a charter member of the EPA Climate Leaders and one of the few to meet their GHG reduction target in 2005.

The project utilizes the landfill gas in a gas turbine to create electricity. The exhaust is used to create steam for plant ops. This maximizes the energy potential in the gas and offsets the most GHG.

No company is perfect, but Johnson made an effort early on to do all they could to help. And no I don't work for them but have experience with the project in question.

  • Thank you for this information and taking the time to provide this info.

  • I kinda agree with you.

There's this county dump that sends methane gas that was originally there before the dump to somewhere else (I forget where it is.) that's helpful, basically, they reuse it for better uses. It seems ok, but I'm not really sure.

But anyways, SC Johnson isn't a green company. They test EVERY product on animals. Animal testing is no where near green or helping the environment.

Then and Procter & Gamble and hell lot more are evil companies.

  • Thank you for this information. I really appreciate it

  • your a moron if you don't what your talking don't comment on it. they use the gas from the landfill to power there own turbines to power their production plants, they also are the first ones to take out the cfc's out of their products, they also power their Michigan plant with almost 50% wind turbines

  • I'm glad that you commented because you've helped me to better understand SC Johnson. Aside from the slight insult, I do appreciate you all on Youtube providing me with knowledge about things I find important. It helps me learn. I apologize for making uninformed assumptions, so excuse me for just voicing my opinion 7 months ago. But I really do appreciate your comments. :-)

  • I think you misunderstood the ads...

but I dunno much about it myself, but from what I understood on what the SC Johnson website claim in their video of harnessing green energy video... they are recycling the methane from making the product to actually make electricity for their own manufacture or something.. So, I'm assuming that is what they mean by going green... I really believe they are making the best effort to save the planet... at least compare to other companies

  • SC Johnson was actually the first company to take CFC's out of their areosoles. From the research i've done they seem pretty legit in this area. Amazing what you can do when your a corporation not run by wall st.

  • Well....Consider me informed. I also did a little bit more research after I posted this blog and found out the same thing. I am still researching whether the products tey make are harmful to the enviroment (i.e. water systems, air quality, etc) But I truly appreciate your comment. Thank you. :-)

  • hi, good to think about stuf like methane and cfk's.

CFK are the worst and replacing them by methane or propane makes good sens.

Not using them at all is even beter.

Its up to us not to clean, polish or use air freshners before they wil stop making them.

But just letting the methane escape from a landfill into the enviroment without making any use of it would be worse.

  • Hey,

    Thank you for you comment.

I guess it's nice they are doing something with the methane, but I wish it wasn't to make other hazardous products. I understand SC Johnson is a really good company, and I guess applauds to them for trying, but there is a long way to go.

  • I saw the ad on internet... well i thougt SC Johnsol would be okay... I hope there are not as bad as Procter and Gamble... Also Henkel and Beiersdorf do shit ti our enviroment...

  • Thanx for the compliment. I actually need to cut it cuz I don't like combing it in the morning. Anyway, as far as the commercial goes, the proof is in the pudding. They show all the environmentally-unfriedly products they make in the background and then talk about helping the ozone layer greenhouse gases with methane from a landfill...what ever!!

    Thanx for your comment. Really.

  • I really want to shave your head!

  • What?!?! You don't like my fro? I swear I'm gonna cut it, I just haven't had any time. Jeez!

  • Exactly! Their efforts cancel out the real progress.
