@tainojoey12 It is very easy. go to Avsim(dot)com or Flightsim(dot)com and search in their libraries for MD80 and MD90. There is a freeware panel and freeware sound sets.

I have a bit of a dumb-ass question. Because planes have to be properly balanced, why doent the MD80 alway bank to the right (or left for a few airlines) because thats where the 3 out of 5 passengers are

Great video! I love the MD-80 too. I flew on a couple of them. One was a Continental with the old red and gold livery and the other was a TWA from PHL to Minneapolis enroute to LAX. Those were the great days for the airlines.

I've had to catch a few last-minute business flights where I was stuck in the back right next to the engines. (Opening the window would give me a view of the cowling.) Quite loud since the engines are next to the fuselage instead of on the wings.

I've got Flight1's Super 80, excellent model and a beautiful cockpit. I also have PMDG's 747 and Level-D's 767, both I can recommend. If you like older planes, CLS has a DC-10 model that rocks.

You mean the reverse thrust. In FS2004 you just need to press F2 and keep it pressed and that will activate it. You can also assign that key command to a button on your yoke, joystik or throttle as it will make it easier, especially in hefty crosswind

set flaps to 11. If you look at the throttle quadrant, by the flaps lever, it is outlined with t/o flap settings. I believe it starts at 11. Set your flaps somewhere in that range. As for spoilers, arm them and see what it does.

The MD80 has got extendable landing lights at the wingtip. they are not well modeled here as they look quite different, but the fact that they were actually modelled in a freeware plane is quite good. Hope that helps.

When I joined the airlines the MD-80 was the first aircraft I was tranined on. It is a far cry from the A330 I swapped it for a few years later, however it was a fantastic aeroplane and I have many fond memories of it.
