  • What a happy, joyful song, but the message is bittersweet. Thank you for posting this.

  • Benny Goodman recorded this song in English sung by Peggy Lee.

  • Un grand merci pour ces merveilles

  • I used to love Barbara. I would be really anxious to hear her voice, remember the "piano skit"??? But, she went actavist. What qualification does she have? She crossed the line. Such a beautiful woman. I wan't my Barbara back. =Stefan=

  • By "piano skit" are you referring to a film

or a TV special? Barbra has done a lot since

    the early 1960s.

  • What qualifications??? She's a concerned citizen, and an artist.Life is short. No lines were crossed.

  • @chengloki: What qualification does she have to be an activist? Ummm.... how about intelligent, critical-thinking American citizen?

  • In one word: sheyne!

  • reall wonderful good song.

  • Great presentation. Both my grandmother and my mother used to sing it with slight variations which I did not hear in any of the versions: "Azoy iz avek a por yorn, fun mayn kuzine is a tel gevorn, UNTER DI SHEYNE BLOYE OYGEN, TSVEY SHVARTSE PASSN HOBN ZICH GETSOYGN" (A pair of years passed, my cousin turned into a ruin, under the beautiful blue eyes, two black lines have appeared)Thanks!

  • Wonderful, I love the music

  • Welcome to the Club!
