@FascistBros 400 years of western dominance has made west arrogant, dont worry, very soon when the world order is re-established, we wont be as arrogant as you.
This is the only Orient that survived my sub $500 watch sell-off. Why? Its absolutely gorgeous, accurate and I had it running NON STOP for 17 months and never had to adjust the time--ever! btw..still going strong in its 18th month
I had this watch until recently and liked it a lot. Kept excellent time at only +5 secs per day ahead of NIST time. Really good, well made and solid watch. The absence of a date window meant it could be set pretty quickly in a hurry. Very efficient self winding system too. However, I got a little tired of the styling of the watch, but that is more of a personal reason. Sold it and got every penny I paid for it back. If you like it go for it. These are some of Orient's best.
I'm a big fan of Japanese watches, including Orient, and even open heart designs, but man, I think this particular watch is pretty hideous. I'm in love with the "Planet Orient" though.
The problem with most open heart dial designs is that they sacrifice the date window for them. If you don't mind that, its
OK and it actually makes the watch easier to set. To me personally, open heart designs are nice at first but wear off quickly after the novelty goes away.
yeah, that's true. Unless it's a tourbillon, I'm not that excited by open hearts. It seems like lots of low-quality watch companies have shifted to open hearts and now it sort of feels tacky.
By the way, it has been four months and my Planet Orient has gained 12 seconds total. It's never died and the time has not been adjusted. It's much, much more accurate than an average quartz.

That trickling sound you hear in the background is the sound of Rolex and Breitling wetting themselves out of envy and jealousy.

This review is among the reasons why I have this watch right here with me now (received it earlier today).
I fact I had not even heard about the Orient brand until just two weeks ago.
It's truly a fantastic watch. Since then I have also ordered two Makos (the real Mako in blue and the Mako II or CEM75001B if you like )
I addition to that I also have the World Time CFA05001B on it's way.
I'm blown away by the quality considering what it costs. Bought the CFT00004B on eBay for less than $300

I have an orient diver and it is super accurate.
Good thing about Orient is that they focus on automatic movement, that is why they make very good auto- watches.
