Don't be paranoid. The government tests all of its experimental tech away from prying eyes. Every other government in the world finds remote test sites for their best gear as well. UFO is a nice phantasy but ultimately, When you think you spotted a UFO you probably spotted USAF stealth jets on minimal running lights. As for the weird sharp movements of the lights in the sky, I could replicate the wierd camera shots by moving the camera around wildly.

If you look at an artists impression of Kennth Arnolds UFOs and then look up Horten Ho 229 . These planes are advanced technology but not alien keeping them secret was so they could play mind games with the soviets during the cold war.
