  • Cool

  • Lol

  • This wasn't fake, the state authorized it as real.

  • To those that think this video is fake, the Weather Channel and Associated Press have both verified its authenticity.

  • random security camera pointed directly at the house that happened to have gotten destoyed

  • The two people who disliked this lived in that house.

  • i would had crapped my pants

  • omg this is scary

  • holy crap!

  • Ahhhh its just a mobile home now. Some re-assembly required.

  • POWND

  • God bless the house

  • i love how the camera man didn't even move

  • @LinkTheKiller7896 thats a security camera.

  • @LinkTheKiller7896 its a security camera..really u thought that was a person?

  • @frostyisag10 yuuh,i know i was stupid......

  • @LinkTheKiller7896 You moron, it's a security camera LOL.....stupid asshole.

  • I'm pretty sure this happened on May, 3, 1999--The most destructive tornado in america history...

Well next to the tornado that cut through nearly 3 states in 1924.

  • @66Metallicaman66 this was the parkersburg f5 in 2008, just as destructive as the bridge creek moore tornado on may 3rd

  • @66Metallicaman66

No, this was May 25, 2007 in Parkersburg, Iowa.

As to the Tri-State tornado , it was in '25 and caused less damage to property, but was deadlier than the OKC tornado.

  • dangggg the whole roof just ripped off O.O

  • 0:35 Its Cool xD

  • WOW!

  • I live not to far from there...its not fake, the entire town was pretty much detroyed. It was a terrible day for Iowa and I hope it never happens again.

  • @hjfhjgfhjklgfhjfhf read the description before making dumbass comments

  • @hjfhjgfhjklgfhjfhf ummm your a dumbass

  • Holy sh*t........!

  • mother nature is amazing.. she can do what ever she wants to ..

we always have been and always will be at the mercy of mother nature ...

  • Dang I hope they moved to a far area then in the basement 'cause that tornado is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckn bullshit u work all your damn life 2 have a little something & that fuckn cunt nature fucks it up in a few seconds

  • @TheM9Beretta HEY KIDS, TRY TYPING ON YOU-TUBE WITH OUT ALL THE NASTY WORDS CLEAN-UP THE YOU-TUBE VENUE

  • @USAFreedomReform You speak the truth. There's too much pointless profanity on the 'Tube.

  • @DanielEmsden Thank you for your support and glad to know I wasn't the only one to notice this.

  • @TheM9Beretta That's life buddy that's why there's homeowners insurance.......!

  • So brick houses can still go. I live in Iowa and lived 30 mins from Parkersburg. This same storm cell also went through a small town that is 10 mins from my parents house. It took down a HUGE brick house. Mother Nature doesnt care what you built ur house with, she will still bring it down!

  • Strong little tree in that front yard. That thing bent over something serious

  • Stupid American wooden houses, there so stupid they havnt found out about bricks in most states!

  • they were in the house alive at the end

  • Wao crzy shit

  • Right before the house got screwed it looked like a really shitty place to be

  • the house got pwned

  • i think near the ending tht was the inside of the tornado

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • uau, this is incredible

  • That is some crazy shit!! Man I am building a storm cellar like ASAP after seeing that

  • better by very deep

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • that is a fucking awesome video thanks for putting it up. It was exactly was I was searching for on here!

  • LMAO... the cam resisted XD insane... oh yeh btw... i hope nobodys were doing theyr little things in bathroom :S XXD

  • holy fucking ghost

  • @durpydurpydurpdurp WATCH OUT NOW, YOU ARE SPEAKING AGAINST THE HOLY GHOST OF WHICH IN THE BIBLE FORGIVNESS IS NOT GRANTED IN THIS LIFE OR THE NEXT LIFE.

  • my conclusion: It's better to have a tornado-proof home but no tornadoes (like in Switzerland) than homes made of wood and tornadoes every year.

  • I think tornadoes are possible in Switzerland, just rare. This tornado was an EF5, the strongest tornado category. They can level concrete structures and tear brick buildings from their foundations. Tornadoes of this strength are extremely rare.

btw how are houses in Switzerland usually built?

  • Most houses in Switzerland are made of armed beton and must have at least one or two underground floor bunker/air-raid shelter with 15 inches thick armored and really heavy doors. It's not a joke. It's like we have war all the time (what we of course fortunately don't have). So it's useless. But from the outside it looks quite normal. Houses made of wood are rare maybe chalets in the mountains. In the city the buildings are just like everywhere else.

  • Ok, so they sound pretty tough.

Again, though, it's not good to go by the example of this video as this tornado was unusually strong.

  • Yes I know F5 will destroy nearly everything! I'm fascinated by tornados. I could be a hunter sometimes! =D And I really like american houses. I saw some very very nice one as I was in CA, AZ, UT, NV on a trip a couple of years ago. Next time I want to see the dixie lands and the mid-west (home of the tornados) =D

  • Those states? That's unusual. Are you sure they weren't just dust devils?

  • no I was wrong. I was thinking until now that the mid west states were including kansas, oklahoma etc. but it's not. I just don't know how the area of NE, KS, OK, MO, AR is called. Maybe there is no specific name for this area

  • I'm from PA, Here in the western part of the state tornadoes are not uncommon.

That area is referred to as the Midwest.

parts of TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, IA, and a couple other states are sometimes referred to as tornado alley.

  • So Tornadoes from Switzerland is stronger than South Dakota and Colorado?

  • @ inveiglment: no, there are like no tornadoes at all in Switzerland. Switzerland has a lot of heigh mountains. I don't know about tornadoes in Colorado or South Dakota. Colorado is a bit like Switzerland so I can imagine that there are also not many Tornadoes.

  • Eastern Colorado is part of Tornado Alley as is South Dakota. Tornadoes have formed in mountains. Tornadoes would probably be possible in Switzerland but rare and generally weak.

  • shoot, i'd like to have one of those houses, i wish that sort of thing came standard here in the mid western part of the united states.

  • wow..

  • Damn! that's crazy....

  • i agree, this video is pretty creepy and shows how devastating that tornado was...it just swallows everything whole.

  • best tornado vid ever

  • It's awesome how at the beginning of this video the trees are being blown to the right, away from the tornado. Then when the tornado is close the trees are rapidly being sucked towards it. It's unbelieveable how fast it changes too.

  • that is some scary shit

  • I WANT THAT CAMERA!! :) Stormproof!

  • this one is amazing

  • !!!!!!! Thank God they were ok! I really noticed how the wind direction changed so suddenly....amazing video

  • This is the scariest video on youtube. No horror movie can top it, because no horror movie has a perfectly framed house centered in camera essentially getting eaten by an EF5 tornado. Everything about this video is scary.

  • nut ugh

  • Fucking tornado ;/

  • wooaahhh!!!

  • Was it just me or for a second there I saw blue sky and sunshine near the end of that video? If that is what I think it is, then this is a rare video of what the inside truly is.

  • Yes and then the video ended too much power

  • no its a power line snaping

  • ohhhhhh noooo! look out lil house wach out

  • ohhhhhh noooo! look out lil house look out! ohhh nooo! rofl

  • wow u think thats funny?

  • Was Bush blamed for this one? I think it was he did it for his buddies in BIG GLOBAL WARMING.. according to Keith Olberman. I heard Dan Rather has a source from Amarillo who can confirm it.

  • what a POWER!

  • wow that's insane. i hope those people have homeowners insurance!

  • why hope about insurance lets hope that they are safe i would much rather have my life than a house ^_^

  • Like...OMG,your such a dip shit!

  • WOW. This is amzing but murf XD

  • dude thats some crazy shit

  • AMAZING VIDEO!

  • that was the must shocking video ive seen in awhile

  • this aint even fake, looks real to me, brilliant vid

  • i hope you're joking about this being fake

  • And why do you think it's fake?

  • He's thinks it's fake because he's an idiot.

  • @7sleepy IT IS FAKE!!!!

-Can't you see the strings, people...???

    Aheheh.

    Intense!

  • fake my ass you moron this happened last year

  • I seen this on the weather channel last night. They said the recording came from the bank cam across the street.

  • wow the winds are incredible

  • haha cant believe i found a vid with your comment dude

  • Incredible. Glad the homeowner(s) survived!

  • whoa!!!

  • How did they stop the footage

  • I don't know how the camra didn't get lost. Or did it?

  • I think they're designed for at least the footage to survive some pretty extreme circumstances. The designers might not have had a tornado in mind though.

  • I heard that the guy who lives there was home. he hid in the bath tub

  • This is a case where outrunning the tornado in your car might be better.

  • That's not fake that's real.

  • wow

  • Damn. Amazing how fast the destruction comes. The tree in the yard holds up better than the house, at least from what I see.

  • I think it was an inside job!

  • its amazing to watch the wind...when the tornado is further away, the trees blow to the right...when it approaches, they get sucked in to the left.

  • holy that was so scary

  • i just whana say oh shit get fuck undercover

  • oh shit!

  • trust me i dont want to see another.i wanted to see a tornado and in february, we got 12 hit in the midsouth in one day.when i saw one of them,i was like, awesome, but when it headed for my house and trees started movin rapidly, i screamed.

  • great to see what happened after, to see the aftermath

  • makes me want to live underground...

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AWSOME

  • Wow

  • INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • What are you watching 999. You can clearly see the 180 shift of wind at 17 sec . . . no other explanation than tornado - and then the tornado clearly approaches from the left!

  • pwnage?

  • Abosolutely incredible footage!

    Thank you for posting this.

I'm sure storm chasers will be very busy this year, studying this video and related storm footage.

  • another amazing piece of tornadoe footage i thought the footage from inside the bank was good enough tillyou see this, its amazing the atm didnt go up w/the tornado too, too bad that house looked fairly new too and the owner is going to have to rebuild all over again glad to know that guy was ok

  • I think the tornado killed 8 people and destroyed 288 homes in Parkersburg, as well as several homes in three surrounding towns.

  • @BadLuckXIII you are correct it killed 8 people that were all elderly. There was 6 people killed in Parkersburg and 2 in New Hartford.

  • Wow. That left me completely speechless.

  • this will be the best footage of a house being destroyed and seeing the tornado spinning from inside ever...Don't ever delete this video!

  • Best footage ever!

  • Thats pure pwnage!

  • omg!
