  • Paisley with a wah wah at 4:09? Now thats just interesting. Great song!

  • Purely amazing

  • Maybe country and blues aren't so irreconcilable after all.

  • this must've been fun to record

  • When the PO-lice come knockin', tell 'em they're invited too! =D

  • BP is def the best country guitar player out there..id love to hear him do some stevie ray vaughan

  • @kbye1379 i agree. stevie ray is the best ever. i wouldnt mind hearing a decent country cover of texas flood.

  • Hell Yes!!!! This song kicks ass on all levels!!!!!

  • brad s great {country }..but not a "blues picker !

  • @gittar1 no his voice is great country but hes a amazing on guitar.

  • Awesome !

  • Good ol' BB and BP King lol

  • Tele's are my favorite guitar. I'd play my tele over my sg. don't get me wrong i love the gibson and ibanez i have. but that tele just flows with me...

  • It sounded strange when paisley sang this blues. BB king on the other hand, sings like the legend he is

  • Well Blues Boy King is the same. classic stoppy vibrato.he don't care if yoo like or if yoo not ..play simple ..play mean ..play slow and nice inbeeetween

  • haraldtheman: I'd agree--Paisley's voice doesn't suit blues all that well. However, they way he plays the blues on a guitar is a completely different story!

  • Paisley can chop it up like no one else. BEST GUITARIST OUT THERE BY FAR

  • Best COUNTRY guitarist maybe.

  • best country for sure no doubt. but also

ONE of the best overall guitarist. currently overall. you gotta be one of the best out there if u get to play with the KING.

  • lol i agree hes a the best country guitarist but hes NOT the best. sorry

  • mikelboom123: I'm just curious to find out, but who do you feel is the best guitarist alive today?

  • dixiepride11: I'd definitely agree that Paisley is easily one of the best overall guitarists alive today.

Honestly, I don't know of a guitarist who's played as many genres so well since Danny Gatton!

  • I agree that BP is a phenomenally excellent guitar player. I have appreciated his work since the 90's.

This is killer, but most of what he is doing is throwing country licks over a 1-4-5 progression.

    B.B. King now....well.....

  • garytelecastor: You really think the licks BP's playing in this track sound like country licks? I love country guitar work and I definitely do hear some country licks in this but, for the most part, I definitely hear BP playing blues here...and, on BP's parts, it sounds like it was heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • Yeah, you may be right. Can definitely hear some SR-EC licks. It's interesting. I think what makes it sound country is that he is playing a tele. And he burns so much whenever he plays that it is a little difficult to distinguish. And of course blues and country are two children of the same father.

  • BadgerOnLSD: Have you not heard Paisley's 2008 album PLAY? On that album alone, he played country, as usual, as well as surf rock, bluegrass, jazz and even an Eric Johnson-style instrumental. If you ask me, Paisley's right up there with Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford, etc. The only difference is that Paisley seems to be able to play more genres than they can.

  • Which song are you thinking sounds like EC?

  • @Ruefus I didn't say any of Paisley's songs sound like Eric Clapton but, instead, I said that, as a guitarist, Paisley could easily stand up to him and many other greats who are better known for their guitar work than Paisley is.

  • Made a mistake. Should have said EJ (as in Eric Johnson).

Which song are you calling the EJ-like instrumental?

  • @Ruefus Ahh--I see...the one in the style of Eric Johnson is called "Cliffs of Rock City" which is in tribute to EJ. That instrumental is on Paisley's 2008 album PLAY and it's one of my personal favorite tracks of Paisley's.

  • his tribute to EJ is called Cliffs of Rock City.

  • How about the great MUDDY WATERS as well??

  • Yep thats a tele-playing bluesman

  • Or Albert Collins

  • it's pretty strange hearing the blues played on a Tele. not bad though.

  • Er..you no heard of Albert Collins ?

  • lol owned!

  • WHERE can I get this song with both BB King & Brad playing this live??

  • SandyStruck: This version of "Let the Good Times Roll" is featured on Brad Paisley's 2008 release PLAY. The album also features other great guitarists such as Keith Urban as well as Redd Volkaert, James Burton, Steve Wariner, John Jorgenson, Vince Gill, Brent Mason and Albert Lee. And, get this--the last seven I stated are all featured on one instrumental called "Cluster Pluck." PLAY also features a duet with the late Buck Owens.

  • hell fucking yes

  • awesome!!!

  • I absolutely love BB King! Before I die I MUST see him play! Brad P. is awesome too

  • for sure, but I'd be more worried about him dieng before you(hopefully not for a long time of course) I've been to a bb concert, he is simply asmazing, better than on record.

    and that vibrato!

  • Next time he has a concert i HAVE TO GO! no doubt about it!

  • damn BB King is the fuckin shit.and Brad is fuckin awsome

  • Outstanding! PLAY is an incredible album. It proves that country musicians can really play and, in quite a few cases, that country musicians can outplay rock "guitar gods" such as Slash--in multiple genres.

  • sick!!

  • is that sick in the good way or in the bad way

  • GOOD WAY FOR SURE MAN

  • haha alright thanks man

  • @greygriffin1

    GOOD WAY!!! duhh lol
