Well, it sound a little like some of John Lennon's later work and it does have a melodic line albeit a bit montonous (but "Imagine" was also this way) so keep at it and lets see what the future holds for you musically. Keep in mind that my taste in popular music is extremely traditional so I'm hardly the guy to ask to judge what passes today as "good music" since I haven't heard more than five original songs I would have bought in the past 20 years or so.
