  • special xmas club night, what a way to end a decade! With a small group from Runcorn, unfortunatley we where there sometime later when it was raided and closed down! Best club since The State. Can't believe I'll be forty this year!!

  • I love how raw and gritty the music sounds....

  • I saw Adamski in 31st october 1990, with that rasta dude MC, i was 19 years old and was totally out of my face on carliforian sunrise tabs, he played a blinder that night, after the gig me and my m8 went down to the beach thinking this is mellow and a 15 foot wave came crashing down on us, best night of my life pure adrenaline rush

  • Those were the wicked times high on 'E' and skippin skool to enjoy events like these :-)

  • I can confirm that this is the Underground club in Liverpool and you can see this when the camera pans around you can the Underground sign behind Adamski

  • Adamski has remade his album liveandirect as vileacidrent. It is to be released this october 2010 on Major records, Germany. Also new version of killer featuring Nina Hagen on vocals

  • fucking awesome ,that must of been an experience.

  • we can all agree that the instrumental version is much better. sorry Seal.

  • I wish I was there for that!

  • LOL excellent!!!!!!

  • All aboard the time machine last few seats remaining....LOL!!...so much better without Seal's vocals.

  • to be honest he didn't really need Seal did he. I prefer it raw and untouched like this without any vocal.

  • awesome track!

  • Yeah, did seal ever make anything of his own or just what Adamski had already done?

  • Made me smile all the way through! Those days were soooo good. Glad to have been a part of it!

  • This is what a rave atmosphere was like in 89? The place is climbing the fuckin walls. Utterly batshit, makes today look incredibly poor and uninspired. Take it back once more..

  • Amazing its basically capturing on video when the rave scene first started :) I prefere this version without the lyrics when seal remixed it :)

  • Awesome, thanks for posting this!

Even has the mono sound to go with the camcorder of the era :)

  • this is amazing! i wanna be there, in 1989!!!

  • Fucking....Hell....To be in that room & hear that that before it was ever released must've been inssane

  • adamski was the reason i started playing synths back in 1988 as apposed to the boring organ lesson i had .... my personal hero !!

  • New years eve '89 I think, I may be in the vid but you'd never know! Shivers thinking about it.

  • warehouse days great times.........

  • Amazing!! I remember this version and its lots better without Seal!!! Bring back the late eighties, early nineties!!;-))

  • fucking hell!

  • just imagine hearing this for the first time back then. it must have been insane!!

  • Fucking 'aving it in that room eh?!

  • @JiaKe - yeah that is the same dude as in the music video!

  • Seal is one of those artists that has a style that is exclusive only to his music-His rough-hewn voice conveyes a message through every song he sings.

  • This version is good, too! Is that the black guy on the stage the dancer in the music video?

  • I had no idea this was Adamski's track. This version is amazing, gritty, and raw!

  • I love British audiences. No self-consciousness whatsoever, just dancing their fool asses off. Wonderful.

  • lol rave is just dead

    sad but true

its been replaced but shitty homo trance an shit

  • just seen this vid, it was in the underground, I was there that night, supperb!!!!!

  • Is that Seal with they long dreadlocks?

  • fxxk me' that looked like a great nite''

  • wow would like to of been munted there . . . good times lol

  • Have been watching this one for months now! WOW! Makes me want to cry every time ( with joy!). Why can't we go back in time?! The Live and Direct album is still one of my favourites of all time. This is THE best version of Killer!

  • can't believe this is on video, i remember the night standing on the other side on the steps, and thats nicky in the corner the bouncer at the underground! wish i was back there now, best club ever

  • Awesome, got to be one of the best examples of how to use a TR-909 ever.

    Adamski led, others followed.

  • Cool instrumental.

  • magnifico. mi fa' tornare indietro a quando avevo 18 anni!!! bei momenti!!!!

  • yerrrrrrrr bought this in summer of 89 left it on the parcel self of me mate Greg's A reg Sierra came back to it and the sun had melted it through the back window!!

  • the good old days im in the front row with old freinds peter cooney tony gallagher(the one howling(legend) this was a thursday night at the underground ,the best club in liverpool of its time..radio rental....ahem..as my bones creek.

  • come on!!!

  • Best killer version ever!

    forget about those vocals!

    this is hard as nails!!!!

    seal owes adamski ALOT!!!!!

  • This is classic adamski - Seal , you owe your LA and Heidi Klum life to this man. Don't you forget it..............

  • Pues nada,es increíble,qué feeling, que época más buena para la "lírica" en música, y que podemos considerarnos afortunados todos cuantos la hemos vivido, teniendo en cuenta los cochambrosos tiempos que habrían de venir después (sic):(

  • has a classic riff

  • just don't get atmosphere's like these days. =(

  • i´ve never noticed the track was written by adamski himself before it was a megahit with seal´s voice. this instrumental is my new favourite "killer"- version. what a live-performance! :))

  • seal fucked adam over.seal went mainstream&adamski wanted 2 keep it underground.how many tunes been ruined by comercial mixes?candy statten over frankie knuckles your love a great example!!

  • Tell you what, brilliant track, but no offence to anybody who loves nightclubs but I honestly don't see their purpose in life, lets face it most people in nightclubs can't dance, they're either too drunk, or they just can't dance at all, it's just a bunch of people swaying. It can hardly be classed as dancing.

  • simtech113,thats really quite funny and I kind of know what you mean, but I suppose the whole purpose is to have a good time and dance even if you have 2 left feet-most of the clubs Ive been to nobody is watching your fancy footwork-too busy enjoying themselves-funny observation though

  • Yes f00kin awsome, he did it at energy effingham 1989 still ringing in my head, he was the KEYBOARD wiazard!!

  • amazing, awesome!

  • Adamski was waaaaaaay ahead of his time and his contemporaries. The production on Killer is incredible.

  • Damn, I was to young for that time :(

  • Ha LadyPat I might have guessed - I remember that club, the ceiling was dripping sweat!

  • how mental does that look!?

  • The Underground was on Victoria St and used to bounce every week, it would get that hot that the sweat used to drip from the ceiling but it didnt seem to bother anyone, to busy having the best time-happy days

  • wow this is nothing short of amazing, i was just a bit too young to be in the fray of it but i wisely listened and learned back in the day, everything now is completely shit in comparison

  • Lol I was in the same position, to young but still listening :) And your right music today is shit - me thinks it's all that hiphop nonsense hahaha :)

  • 'Ere, what are you on then, mate..?'

  • Where in Liverpool was the Underground club? What is it now?

  • top work fella!

  • Dodgy dance moves and curtain hair styles, long live the rave days!! Top post too! Killer is my fave tune of all time! Cheers!

  • haha the sillyness of the x scene is fukin brilliant!

    I was 3 yrs old in 1989!

  • Adamski still rules.Let's dance from dusk till dawn

  • With the 20 year anniversay of the summer of love right around the corner this song is still just as good as when I first heard it waaaaayyyy back then!!!

  • If you liked this check my live in brixton vids, parts 1-3

  • Wickid old skool

  • At that time I was only 9 years old but I wish I was there!!! What a great song, one of my all time favorites!!!

  • I went to see Adamski in the Royal Court that year. This isn't at the Royal Court though. Any idea where it is?

  • It was in the 'underground'. this was a few months earlier than the royal court gig.

  • Where abouts was the Underground? It looks abit like the 051 Club, was that renamed?

  • TOP ONE! NICE ONE! the crowd go nuts!

  • superb post! thanks a million
