forgive me for my language but your fit! and thank you so much for the clip them to the iron bored trick! thats helped me allot and its not faster to make my dreads thanks for your time and effort for these videos you rock! \m/
I use a thin towel, wrap it around the dread and spray some water on it. Then I use my straightener on it for about 10 seconds. I always use it twice on 1 spot, both horizontally as vertically. The second time is a little bit shorter, about 5 seconds. I don't push to hard, otherwise it becomes square or something (at least, that's what I think. Never happend to me). I don't use a wet towel for the tips, I just spray a bit of water on it and apply the heat directly.
I find it a lot easier to use my straightener for this. I also have a very tiny room, and the ironing board doesn't fit in there. Perhaps that my way is a lot handier for those who want to make dreads at their bedroom =]
love your videos! do you have any about installing synthetic dreads that are very natural looking? natural colors--and how to make them look like they're growing out of your head as opposed to seeing the sections/braids?
@steponmythroat We use contrasting colors so that you can see them better. There are different textured dreads that look more on the natural side. Typically the sectioning is going to be unavoidable unless you do a mixed installation of loose hair and dreads.
I've tried this method to seal my dreads but it doesn't work all that well. I only end up burning myself lol. Am I doing something wrong? Great vid by the way very helpful!!
@blackwingedangel01 I'm not sure... This is the one I personally use and have the best luck with, but I know other people that prefer different methods.
it is* sorry lol
