One of my fav Vocaloid songs. Not every Vocaloid member can pull this song off, not with subjects this heavy and deep to the core of human psychology. And to me, this is how Meiko's so special.
I'm glad that the composer who made this song gave effort into making such a beautiful song with Meiko. I mean, Meiko is probably the most neglected Japanese vocaloid. D: such an amazing song<3:D
@Fullmoon901 It's kind of late, but you can try "The Thought To Tell", "Ei Ketsu no Asa -bright lights-", "The Person Who Loves A Demon", or "Uso", which are all by Meiko. I'm not sure what kind of genre you like so I apologize if they aren't too you're liking. ;v;
I think the song is about the clash between conformity and individuality. In conforming to the "forest of morals" imposed on us by past generations, we lose our individuality "for the sake of the future" generations. The song talks about how students are educated to be conformists and the forest of morals are like chains that bind individuals, slowly choking them until their personality disappears.
I might be misinterpreting the song, but what I can gather from it is that it's about how the people around you will not accept you if you cause too much trouble. (The people being the snow, naked Meiko being trouble, a taboo or just exposed in a way she doesn't want to.)
I probably misinterpret the song, but the way I see it totally is what I often think about, because it's just a so interesting, strange part of human nature. It's a pity it doesn't have an English version, because it would be so mch better if I could understand what it says by my own ears why listening to it.
this is so epic o3ob

This song is so amazing... It addresses conformity and how it sucks our character away. But what's the significance of February 19th?

Beautiful~
It really reminds me of Higurashi, actually. Especially Shion's story.
(y'know, there's a whole buttload of deeper meaning to Higurashi than all the violence.)

So, I see I wasn't the only one who thought she was talking about alchohol lol.
Well, anyway, great song. Meiko is one of my fave Vocaloids. Her voice is just so pretty. <3

"becoming resources for the sake of the future"
Since this is MEIKO singing, for a split second, I thought the word "sake" was talking about the Japanese alcohal that's MEIKO's special item.
Eheh...whoops...
Anyway, this is an awesome song and I love it!! Thanks for uploading!

LOL to be honest, the same thought crossed my mind when I was adding the sub to the video too XD

XD I was confused for a split second. I was thinking,
"MEIKO, there's all of this drama happening and you're still focused on sake?!"
and then I realized I was wrong XDD
