some technique in vovinam aren't daredevil acts though, not really fatal but if you are impressing the crowd im sure it is cool... but i don't see its practical to go airborne if you are trying to defend or attack..

Vovinam can' t be something that divide a country..I can't understand it..Vovinam must be the way to be all the same...I am Italian and don't see any dfference with others...I collaborate with countries that maybe I don't like for politics or other..but the people IS PEOPLE..so I like all of them..I have friend everywhere..I met ex south VN, ex north VN..for me are Vietnamese..are people of this world!

Vovinam isnt all acrobatics, it is a mix of leg grapples, elbows, knees, punching, everything, the kicks may be weaker than tae kwon doe, but they are still pretty strong, it all depends on technique, so all you retarded people who say vovinam is retarded or stupid, is the same as saying that the moves (which are used in many other martial arts) are stupid too.

@BadToKidT On a side note, I think that if practiced well enough acrobatics could be effective in a real fight. For example in Muay thai there is the flying knee! :D
