'Tomorrow's People' Coca-Cola (Coke) Ad 1987

To me, this is the greatest commercial ever made, period. I have looked everywhere for it until I found it on YT just now and 10 replays later, the goose bumps won't stop! If you think I am taking it a wee bit too far, then you didn't grow up as I did in a poor African country where kids my age spurred me into life from hopelessness with words like "I AM" the hope of the world and "the new inspiration" who, if promised tomorrow, will "build a better world!" Was more than a song to my young mind!

I only saw this commercial once, and only the second half of it. Stuck in my head (was a young teen then) and made me hopeful. Thanks to You Tube, I know here the entire song. It's still one of those good songs - minus the Coke! lol

I was in this video too. It hardly seems like 1986 when we did the 3 day shooting in liverpool. I cannot spot myself for there was like 1000 kids in total by the looks of it. My sister was also in the video. I remember having a cold urn of coffee spilt on me on my first day. I was not happy. I was alot happier when i got my 96 pounds for 3 days work though and as much cola as i could drink.

I got soo emotional watching this, I was only five when it came out. I remember it so clearly, it was my favourite ad at the time!! Just can't believe it was 22 years ago! Sob!

Hi i remember this advert clearly - funny enough i go out with someone who it in it!!! It was filmed in the winter of 1986 in St George's Hall, Liverpool, England!! I remember being made up that it was filmed in my home city!!

I LOVED this advert!! I always wanted to be the main girl as well. I always liked it when the asian kid came up through the crowd and stood up. How hilarious, god I feel so old :)

omg!!!! this was my favourite ad...i was 10 yrs old and we used to sing it at school in the playground and recreate the whole ad :( never got to be the lead girl though!!!lol i was jealous as hell!
