  • Hmmm....

I dont get why they put a tv when this flight is so short, they should redesign it so they spend their money on more purposeful things.

    Although they didnt...

  • erm i have 2 question

1.how much does it cost to fly in a first class ?

    2. how long is ur flight fr SG to KL ?

  • i noticed SIA male cabin crew using pale blue coat. but i watched another vid, they used black coat.

    i'm somewhat confused..

  • SIA always uses 2 languages inflight. english and language which is used in destination country.

    am i right?

  • its seems like biz class because SIA it just a 40min flight

  • 3.00, wat town is that??

  • Thats Port Dickson.

  • Everyone THIS IS FIRST CLASS! Singapore Airlines use to have what they would call "Shuttle flights" between Sin-KUL. On this shuttle flight Biz class is considered to be First

  • Thanks for explaining, for everyone's benefit.

Seldom have time nowadays to come in here, except at 3.20am now.

  • erm... sorry to ask but... is raffles class or first class better??? pls reply... i need to know

  • Uh of course First class is better! First class is first class, nothing can beat first class except for the Suites ;)

P.s SIA no longer calls it Raffles class any more, its now called Business class.

  • err i thought raffles class is for PPS Club members? Unless PPS Club Members can choose to take first class...?

  • yummmy

  • SIA used to sell Biz Class seat on SIN-KUL and vv as First Class. Though not anymore.

  • thats business class :)

  • Seems biz class to me, not first.

  • yum lol

  • even on a 40 minute flight you get a 5 star resturant meal. On U.A biz class from SFO-LAS i got a small crappy container of chicken salad. -_- Really shows that SIA cares about and values thier customers money. Which is why they are the best

  • Are they changing this business class? Because if they are, theres no point hahaa

  • This is not First Class. It's Biz class.

  • actually i like SQ very much..When i go travel,i oso take SQ,even i don like to transit, but i oso hve to take Singapore airline..

    Gambateh SQ!~I will support u!~

  • oohh theres a BM announcement too! kewl, feel more hommy flying with SIA!

  • whoopy doo! no shit, is salmon with peppercorns.

  • Unfortunately, SQ will be discontinuing first class on the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur route effective April 1, 2008. The front cabin will be called "business class" instead.

  • Ok, no difference to me, since its a very short flight....

  • Is this really first class? This is business class, isn't it?

  • wow........salmon?

  • Yes, smoked salmon with peppercorns....

  • very good video. wat plane were u on . a 777?

  • Thanks, yes its a 777-200.

  • Excellent video!

  • Thanks for encouragement!

  • yes, i agree. SQ is a very customer orientated airline.

  • The airlines in China are catching up very fast, still way behind SQ but give them a few years, mindset change and good training from retired SQ staff, we will be surprised!

  • true but no matter how hard other airline train thier staff, they will never beat the legendary and popular singapore girl. She is the only airline Icon out there, and i doubt any airline will ever take away her crown

  • Singapore Girl... a Great way to Fly!

  • even SQ's old business class seats like these ones called the spacebeds which look great are deployed on such short flights (40mins) SIN-KUL-SIN. and serving a meal in business class!!! nothing beats SQ.

  • Its amazing that the FAs have to work under pressure at fast pace and keep smiling. They have to do the same on the return leg. Fortunately, most passengers understand and speed things up.

  • Isn't it too short a flight to be serving lunch? I mean its only about 35 mins flying time right? Was the service very rushed?

  • The service was not rushed, but you can see the staff being anxious to clear your tray and of course we understand the situation and gulp down!

  • Gosh..i wish i were u.Can travel use a Business Class.But i like the fish.Looks yummy

  • Of course u can be me, if u dont watch paris hilton and focus your energy on education/career. Set this as your target, work hard on it, stay focused, work smart, go for longterm results, cut losses and you will be there one day, as long as you push for it. Luck will help a little, but nothing helps if u don't try. The biz class is waiting for u!

  • OK, mystery solved. I went on sq's website and found that SIN-KUL is operated by 772 or 772ER. You must have been on the 772ER, which has J or Y (no F), with J being outfitted with spacebed. For this route, they must sell the spacebed J cabin as their F product, which is fair, as it's better than the F seats on the 772 (non-ER).

  • Bingo! Enlightenment for us and note the 1m55s mark showing the B777-200 label on the emergency information card. The so-call F class tickets cost only about 25% more than Y, so the choice is obvious. Thank you for your interest!

  • Just read more about this and found out this is SIN-KUL, in which case no J is sold and normally 772 is used. However, on this video, it looks like a A345 with spacebed (business class seat). I'm guessing there was an aircraft substitution on this particular flight. Was this the case?

  • This is not first class, despite the F crockery. The seat is definitely their old spacebed for business class. What route was this? I'm guessing SIN-CGK, from the cabin announcement and the fact that this looks like a A345 (not a 772), which SQ operates between SIN & CGK twice a day. On the A345, there is no F.

  • what airplane is this?

  • Its a Boeing 777-200 with RR Trent engines. The SQ B747s are being phased out, as the 3rd A380 will be delivered this month. Only 747 cargo planes will be flown.

  • Is this a real first class? i think it looks more like business class only... a bit disappointed!! but acceptable as it was a very short flight..

  • Yes, its first class, look at the plates and cup marked with "F" logo in italics. The biz class tableware markings show the leaves of a palm tree. Just a snack for short flight, no big deal.

  • what do you do for a living? do you only and always fly SQ?

  • HI, I work for global company and travel to see clients. I usually fly SQ becos its the base here, but sometimes I take other airlines due to seat availability, timing or connection. I try to stay within the Star Alliance grouping to get the mileage points.

  • Its too warm and humid here for my liking, prefer to have mild 4 seasons effect. Ha!

  • I miss south east asian weather...warm and humid.
