  • Anyone, please help me! I have a strat and it is in tune when playing open strings and low stuff but is out of tune on higher notes!!! Please tell me how to fix!!!!

  • someday when i got plenty of money...;)

  • This guitar is pretty as hell, and sounds so great. I don't know what is the reason, selected ash body or this hand wound pickups but it's one of the best sounding Strat I've ever heard. And I've heard really many of them. Killer guitar, I hope I'll get one someday. If I'll find it somewhere...

  • Which pickups are build in this guitar? the cs fat 50´s or the cs 54´s or something completely different?

  • Iron Man's guitar.

  • hell, instead of paying fender a premium to relic a guitar, send me your guitar and 50 bucks and ill beat the dogshit out of it.

  • Hi,

another nice video from pro guitar.com. Just one question: This is supposed to be a 58 model, but the candy apple red finish didn´t appear before somewhere in the early 60s, is that right? So the color actually isn´t correct for a 50s model? Or are there any originally old 50s Strats with this beautiful custom color?

    Anyway, nice guitar.

  • @blackberryblossom - This guitar was built to resemble a '58 that had been refinished at some point in it's life, hence the color and pickguard. Hope that clears things up. Thanks!

  • I hate "worn" guitars,fore all times

  • very nice:)

  • this mod is actually quite simple to do. to get the bridge pickup tone rolled off

  • GO SPURS GO

  • My dream guitar, definitely, the look, the sound...

  • awesome jammin, love fender, beautiful straty, ugly color!!

  • proper relic: make black marks round the tip of headstock, gigbag rubber marks!

  • what's the title of the song you play in the beginning??? :) amazing andy!

  • I actually think I wouldn't mind if Andy narrated my life. :)

  • What does DRRI stand for? Deluxe Reverb reissue intergalactic? Please help. Thanks

    Mitch

  • @MitchRulzWorld - DRRi (notice the little "i") is generally understood to mean Deluxe Reverb Reissue by internet guitar people. We're not sure why. Why are Strat bridges called "tremolos" when they are really vibratos? Somebody screwed it up a long time ago and it's been that way ever since. I like "intergalactic" though...gotta get me one of those.

    -PGS Crew

  • @MitchRulzWorld i was under the impression it was Deluxe Reverb Reissue, and it was DRRi for that, the little i signifying the i in Reissue

  • what song is the riff you play in the beginning ??? :D too cool!

  • sorry to say that I don't think i would buy this guitar. I will stick with my 92 deluxe plus. It sounds cool which is the important things but the worn look seems kind of posserish.

  • Beatuifull play!

  • Is he playing with the boiling point pedal again?

  • ooooo @ 2:49 ...."The Bomber" by James Gang!!

    nice choice.

  • @twobucksshy looks like some kind of vintage bassman

  • OMG JIZZ IN MY PANTS

  • $5k? isnt it cheaper to just buy a 1958 strat?

  • why pay for someone to abuse your guitar? i dont get it

  • What he's playing from 4:02 ? Its a song ?

  • the guitar is the most fucking beatifull thing i saw in my life *.*

  • @JoaoSantos126 Obviously you've never seen Jessica Alba's ass.

  • @tcinpa37 Damn straight.

  • I dunno if I missed it in the video, but what amp is that? That rig is delicious.

  • @TwoBucksShy - Fender Custom Shop 57 Tweed Twin. Just a background prop though, Andy was playing through the Fender DRRi in this vid. Thanks for watching!

    -PGS Video Crew

  • he does not get out much does he?

  • @MrMorrris so would i

  • AAHH!!!! It's $5000 WTF. No cruel intentions but, If I threw my fender under a car it would look like that too and mine was only $400 used. *cough*

Lordy the '58 sound righteous though. There's no denying that.

  • @marchenoir44 funny thing is i could probably build that at home for less with a nice american standard!! even for less, but still i dont think it would sound exactly the same. The Fender Customshops are lovely

Dunno why Abigail is reverred as such a legend in fender, it was purely by fluke she made good pickups because she used to underwind them sop she could get more done and paid more!! funny really

  • Andy, what was that second piece you played?? Great job, as usual!

  • @garydupuis tears in heaven

  • @garydupuis tears in heaven

  • @Guitarverb Wrong! That is NOT Tears In Heaven! It may be similar but there is a difference...

  • @garydupuis pretty huge difference IMO :)

  • Custom shop = not real fender sound.

  • @DarkDao You couldn't be more wrong! Custom shop guitars are more closely related to the old ways of production, sans relicing of course. They also use Abby pickups, how is that not "real" Fender?

  • @andleemart I rarely hear Real fender in CS reviews.

  • Middle position......orrible.....

  • @MrMorrris ugh, im waiting for another empress super delay haha i want one so bad

  • What is that very last song Andy plays? Right after he says there is something very open and dynamic going on with the guiter?

  • @fullmetalfunk same i realy want to know!!!!

  • the only good thing with relicing is the neck. A brand new maple neck with gloss finish is just awful.

  • when I buy a new guitar I want it new looking and not like it's very old...

  • @GuitarAriaFreak1010

well on the other hand, the old look is very desirable to some.

  • @mean0machine0 yeah I love a little bit of vintage looking, some scratches in the finish and vintage hardware but I like it better when it ages by time.

  • @GuitarAriaFreak1010 yeah same here dude, it gives each mark on the guitar its own little story that you can remember and it just makes you love the guitar a whole lot more. some people are just too lazy to do it themselves lol

  • @mean0machine0 Yeah it's so much nicer when you remember every scratch :)

  • whats the price???

  • are you guys still doing "free pedal friday" ?

  • Why does the wear on all these "worn" guitars always seem to be in weird places?

I have just watched most of this video and very rarely do Andy's fingers get any where near the wear marks on the scratch plate. It looks like it has been strummed between the neck and the neck pick up to get worn where it is.

The Road Worn series don't even have any wear at all at the twelfth fret! Am I the only person in the world who plays E minor Pentatonic and E blues scales at the twelfth fret?!?!?!

  • @TEMPA01 "Road Worn" is a joke. The wear areas do not fool anyone. Why would anyone in their right mind pay a premium for some minimum wage dude with a dog chain and a piece of sandpaper to ruin a new guitar finish? Daddy's little rich kid - yeah this is for you punk. You want 'road worn' - go play bar gigs for 30 yrs.

  • @moucon fender's people arent minimum wage by any stretch of the imagination

  • @TEMPA01 Like I always say: buy yourself a guitar and play it until it's worn! :D

  • @TEMPA01 It's worn on the right of the neck p/u because it's meant to be wear from aggressive strumming that catches the pickguard after the pick passes over the strings. The wear above the volume and tone is meant to be from sweaty hands repetitively having turned the knobs up and down. The minimal wear by the bridge p/u is presumably meant to be from when the guitar has been played with a player resting his/her arm on the guitar therefore leaving the hand naturally coming to the bridge area...

  • @TEMPA01 Many of the old 50s and 60s strats that are beat up that WEREN'T used by musicians on the road and stuff were thrown into closets without a case and drug around everywhere they went.

  • very cool!!! hey you guys should demo the new afd les paul!!! keep rocking

  • amazing playing as always andy, and that's a beautiful beautiful strat, makes me wish I could afford it.

  • THUMBS UP FOR FENDER STRATS

  • @xXNeoShredderXx yayy

  • Beautimus !!!

  • is he just improving in the beginning or is that an actual song?xD

  • just another guitar review...

  • It's so beautiful, the faceplate being golden makes the guitar looks Jesus. The tone is so great!

  • that's a nice sounding strat :D . hey Andy .. can you let us know what pedals you're using during the demos ? ( with those neat bubble quote things ) i know you want to let us know :) when you kick in the delay on this demo .. it sounds awesome !! etc .

  • Does this guy remind anyone else of the guy from That Metal Show??!

  • @theRJshow Which one?

  • @Shambles940 bruh the one with red hair! i mean just listen to the way he talks.

  • reminds me of iron man... very sexy...

  • @xXNeoShredderXx not everyone in the world is a skinny punk, get used to it. i mean that in the best possible way.

  • in my oppinion strats always sound best with neck and middle pickups, it has the most complex tone and its great for blues

  • @sweetness11313 yeah they have a certain sumthin that I love

  • really don't understand relic-ing

  • @Vehement78 i think it looks cool. and also if you bump it into somethin it wont be very noticable and it adds to the vintage look

  • @Vehement78 neither did i until I played a few. Feels like sex.

  • @tylerdwells Surely it feels like someone elses sex? :D But seriously I can understand pre-wearing the 'feel' but cosmetically I find it ridiculous. Surely the whole thing about a guitar that's worn to your playing and personality is that it's your personality and playing rather than Humberto following the factory instructions...

  • @Vehement78 they say its suppoesed to make it sound better but i really dont notice a difference

  • Order a couple of Custom Shop Strats with the specs. Andy likes. Call it the PGS Andy Custom Shop Stratocaster

  • Hey Andy, what song are you playing at 4:02? Thanks

    Andy

  • Can you play fast like Comunication Breakdown with Your Finger Andy? Btw Great Axe and Demo!

  • that's cool that the 2nd tone knob is wired for the bridge and middle...such a great idea with many practical applications

  • I still prefer the 60's strat tones

  • Nice
