gigi1bokus Good question! It is preferable if you use facial expressions because it does help to express grammar but if you aren't comfortable doing it then that's okay. You'll find that you may become more comfortable with making facial expressions the more fluent you become.
Question: is it absolutly a must to do face expressions so vividly for certain words or in asl in general or can you get away with only doing it slightly? It seems like asl is a very emmotional language and i just dont like to talk that way. I guess i am kind of logical in my disposition which leads me to further wonder about asl-signers with aspergers for instance (they must have more problems with the emmotional aspect than me)? Is it just incoherent and grammatically wrong not to do them?
