This is such a beautiful scene, infact a beautiful episode. It really does show how misunderstood Edie was, how lonely, how caring and how beautiful she was inside and out. This is the most incredible scene ever, and I'm glad the character was killed off, Edie went out with a bang and this episode was the perfect memorial to her, without her death, we wouldn't have had this. <3
@bluenail03 her character was main and they weren't originally goin to let her go. its because nicolette sheridan sued mark cherry $20m for abuse and battery. google it if you don't believe me
@PPKproductions3 No. In the beginning, there were many eps. that she wasn't in. Yes, I know about her and MC's lawsuit. Thankfully, that makes it that she will NEVER be back (I loathed Edie).
@bluenail03 she was in eps, she was in the one where martha huber died and many more and i thought she was a good character, better than Renee anyways
@PPKproductions3 I am just saying that she wasn't in all of the eps. I personally never got the impression that she was supposed to be a main character. She was never featured in the final scene of the theme either (the ladies holding the apples).
@bluenail03 her character wasn't in the opening but she was in all the seasons (up to 5) pictures for the dvd covers and itunes albums. she was main but so main as to have her own separate story-line, exept season 5
@PPKproductions3 Oh, I agree - but if one of them had to go, Edie would be the logical choice. And with this lawsuit against Marc Cherry, you will never see her again (oddly enough, this was NOT Edie's final ep.).
i got bored once, so i wrote out the entire thing.
"And that is how Wisteria Lane came to be my final resting place. My ashes were spread over grass I had once walked on, beneath tree's that had once given me shade, on top of roses I once admired and beside fences I once gossiped over. And after my friends had finished saying goodbye, a wind came along and took what was left of me into the air. As I looked down on the world, I began to let go if it; I let go of white picket fences
and cars in driveways, coffee cups and vacuum cleaners. I let go of all those things which seem so ordinary, but when you put them together, they make up a life; a life that really was one of a kind. I'll tell you something, its not hard to die, when you know you have lived, and I did. Oh how I lived!"
This was the saddest episode ever. I will miss her SO much. Rest In Peace Edie...

NS needed to go. Edie had run her course.
Even though she had been on the show since the beginning, her character was never meant to be a main one.
