I really think he needs to be in a Genesis cover band that does Gabriel-era songs. I really wasn't a fan when he replaced Phil, but he sounds great singing the older stuff.

Saw Ray do the Calling all Stations tour at Earls Court in 97 it was brilliant. Why don't they bring out the DVD of the tour, it would be a must buy. A great album that I still play regular today.

For the ones who knew Genesis before Trespass ,there is certainly something reminding the dark voice,than the more pop style of Phil..But still that is just my opinion and RW is the only Genesis we will be getting from now on,since I do not see the original 5 getting back together

Ray Wilson was a nipper when Genesis formed.They chose him to replace PC and not the other way round.I think he gives an air of the early Gabriel/Genesis era.He is bound to cause controversy anyway.let's just say that he is within the Genesis tribute band circuit but with more experience since he was with them.And if the original band does will never perform live again,he will conitnue.He does ning the songs with respect though!

I'm no particular fan of Ray Wilson, but he has put a nice touch on this beautiful song. Not just put his own feel to it, but he hasn't ruined it either, which would have been very easy to do. Nicely done!

Nothing against Ray, but what is he doing singing songs he had nothing to do with, but only sing 'em once when he belonged to the band that created 'em. C'mon dude Ray! stick to the "Calling all Stations" material, or at least stay away from the Gabriel's era material.

@vivelavidarocka you said it. i agree, besides i think he shouldn't even meddle with PC era material. their voices are just too different. Phil and Peter had Clear and Pure voices. Ray has deeper and craggier voice, by my opinion to say the least, Ray was with the band for one album only and i think it blew chunks. couldn't compare to any PC or PG album except maybe Abacab

No problem with Ray. Did a great job. Replacing PC was always going to be tough to be fair. England still supported Genesis in '98 but the good ole US of A gave it the thumbs down so that was it.

Simply an outstanding performance by all the musicians. A great Genesis song...Ray Wilson is most excellent...love his voice. I would think all past members of Genesis would be very proud of this version.

Im a big genesis fan and i have all the cd collection. "Calling all stations" is a mostly well done album. Maybe if tony and mike would had given another chance to ray... I´m not against ray play genesis songs in his concerts, but being him, i would only play "calling all stations" songs.
