Brooklyn....I'm guessing it's because he's trying to sing country style with that high nasal twang....as ya get older your voice deepens and it becomes much harder...plus I'm sure night after night of being on the road screaming your lungs out with the hellbilly and metal sets accelerates this....but that's just a guess....
