I have 2 Promags and 2 Sig factory mags for my P6 and have found that the Promags feed just as reliably as the Sig factory mags. Not sure if I got some good ones or if everyone is just repeating people saying their crap but mine work perfect.
From what I have heard, and when I have been able to actually pick up Promags, they are terrible. the springs are bad, everyone I have seen have had jamming and load failures with them. But, they are the cheaper option. These days even Promags for this gun are scarce.
i gave $350 for mine with 2 mags and the police holster:) shows holster wear but inside its like new, looked like it hadnt been shot much or the barrel & springs may have been replaced before i bought it? mines dated 9/1979 so if nothing has been replaced it must not have been shot much. btw way do you think $350 was a good price or not?
thats a pretty good price, i think thats about what i paid for mine. the magazine sit though as far as i no they are hard to come by. If you do happen to come across them, be prepared a pay a pretty penny for one. although i have seen deals on gun broker, but thats once every blue moon
Dang, I paid $350 for the gun with just the mag it came with, no extra mag or holster, or anything except a grocery-store bag (and no, it wasn't a murder weapon, I bought it from a deputy sheriff). $350 is about the right price for that though.
Could've sprung for more mags, but I just bought one of those P228s from Zurich that were imported a couple months ago, 13 round capacity.
Wow! Still though, even without the extra mag or holster, its a good gun & worth the money.
I was looking for a inexpensive handgun since there was talk that they'd be banned when Obama got in office. The owner of the gun shop I got it at, said its a very good gun & price. (Since i'm not old enough to own a handgun, technically its my dads). But anyway, my brother got a new S&W M&P40 when I got mine. Its very nice too!
Yeah I love mine. I bought a Sig Mosquito and have had problems with it, but after researching online, are quite frequent. It is weird since Sig makes awesome guns, and this itself is a trooper! S&Ws are nice too. I got this one because I wanted something close to a 226 to practice with, and this was a much cheaper option.

Sadly, no. The P228 is a double-stack design, and the P6/P225 is a single-stack design. The P6 and P225, however, are interchangeable.
