Although many people dislike blue skies, wkr and rdls, I actually think they sit quite well in the album. They provide diversity, and to be honest i actually like them anyway :). Lifeline and two completely different htings sound like the best ones to me. Hurtin and (to be honest) she's a fast persuader actually sound like my least favourite songs even though i still like them. All the songs sound good!

Finally we get hear the samples of the songs from the new album!

From the samples, the album sounds like a cross between EOPE and AFO, all mixed into the one album.

My favorites so far are White Knuckle Ride, Rock Dust Light Star, All Good in the Hood, She's A Fast Persuader, Two Completely Different Things, Goodbye To My Dancer and Hey Floyd. The remaining singles are good as well.

Can't wait until next Friday 29th October when the album is released here in Australia!

Sounds like a pretty decent album after all.

For the record: She's a Fast Persuader is the funkiest Jamiroquai song I've heard since Canned Heat or Alright. Amazing track! It definitely sounds like it could've been one of the ditched Stu Zender tracks from the original Synk album.

Smoke & Mirrors reference to Rolling Stones "Missing You". Lifeline is Beatles like. She's a Fast Persuader -great Club Song! Really like it so far! Hey Floyd great beat! Extra track All Good in the Hood my favorite cuz it's got that groove! And some extra variety in it.

But still love Rock, Dust, Light, Star maybe the best.

As a huge Jamiroquai fan and highly anticipating this album, I have to say after listening to this many times:

My very first impression was one of disappointment. Rock Dust and White Knuckle releases were nowhere up to par or the style of 1990s Jamiroquai. In fact, the whole album does not compare to the magic the early albums had or even some of the bigger disco-flavored hits of the early 2000s.

That said, for music in 2010 (Bieber, Gaga, Kesha etc.) it is a major improvement.

Has anyone else realised that the song "rock dust light star" has alot in common with the song "too young to die"? for example the line "coming from on high".

Always sure they were coming with the best. Despite many felt Jamiroquai was in the wrong path and they lost the funk, Rock Dust Light Star came to shut mouths and make the world crazy again! I have no words to describe how great it sounds. Most of the album share that particular vibe with Travelling Without Moving and Synkronized, containing more jazzy Soul and R&B tunes like TCDT. Funky, rocky, acoustic attempts I enjoy too, in the same way that I love slow tracks RDLS and NGBA.

If the album is so high than these 30 seconds tracks, maybe one of the the best funk/acid jazz albums in the last decade. All depends in the way you listen the album. Some people loves funk, some other acid jazz, other rock, other dance, other ballads... Thats the best of Jamiroquai. Everybody, whatever their styles, loves their music!. Definetily great!.
