Seriously, stop keeping the memory card as problem. You get memory card as "free" bonus if you buy from Amazon for example, and Sony dropped prices on the card for West already. It is not some evil plan to steal all your money, they are doing business just like Nintendo. I'm sure Nintendo is pleased about all the Wii accessory sales and different DS revisions. Same thing.

I'm a Nintendo fan, but I'm personally disappointed in Nintendo GREATLY with how they handled the 3DS, though it is an amazing system and I'm glad I have it: They had close to a YEAR head-start versus the vita, and they didn't start massively releasing seriously good games until right before the Vita came out. Sure, there was Zelda and Star Fox 3D, but even then, those didn't come out until a good 5 months or so after the 3DS's launch. Nintendo seriously screwed up a MAJOR advantage they had.

I was going to preorder the Vita, until I learned about Sony's plans for memory cards. PASS. If they would have went MicroSD or at least stuck with the Memory Stick format, I would have been fine with it, but proprietary memory cards costing as much as $150, WTF, is the system being sold by Apple all of a sudden? Well, if it was, Im sure it would sell a lot better, LOL.
The Vita is awesome but it's just so expensive, making you buy a seperate memory card nowadays was also a bit shitty considering even the simplest games need saving.

Wrong... The PS3 controller has R and L shoulder buttons and R2 and L2 triggers. The Vita does not. Just the R and L shoulder buttons.
And thanks to the 3DS's new addon, not only are we getting that second analog pad, but this addon includes ZR and ZL buttons, meaning that the 3DS is more like a PS3 controller than the Vita... So shooters will be more suited to the controls of the 3DS. :/

@Nintendo3DS The common argument involving the Japanese sales figures for the Vita is that because of the earthquake, people have less funds for luxuries... of course, that doesn't explain how the 3DS is selling so well. The real reason is most likely that Sony's marketing and games lineup so far are so extremely american, to the point where it's almost funny. Shell out a few JRPGs for the Vita, and its sales will skyrocket. I suspect US sales will be better, but to what degree? I'm not certain.

@Reloading26 sony cannot and will not drop the price of the vita. they are already losing a substantial amount of money for each one sold as it is and do not plan on profiting for at least 3 years. you can expect a price drop after they actually begin making profits from the vita.

Nintendo needs competition from a company that knows how to COMPETE. Sony's Vita and the playstation brand have proven untrustworthy, not only as far as launches go (PSP hardware failures) but later on down the line (PSN hacks and unscrupulous EUL"A" terms).

1. Kingdom Hearts were fucking horrible for the DS. The PSP raped them both in a heartbeat.
2. The 3DS has very similal specs to a PSP while the Vita is as powerful or even more powerful than a PS3.
3. Most games SUCK on the DS. The PSP has many classic titles like FF:D, 1,2 and KH:BBS
4. 3DS can't play GBA.
5. All your games data are saved to the game. If you loose the game then you have to start all the way over.

@finalkamehameha1 first of all the psp had very little original titles compared to the ds and i own a hacked psp i download my games and i realize there isn't shit to download for psp but i also own a hacked ds and i have 50+ games on it and im still having fun with them i love sony and nintendo but when you say psp is better then ds your fucking wrong maybe the ps3 is WAY better then the wii but psp is shit compared to the ds same goes for the vita and 3ds

@Nintendo3DS The common argument involving the Japanese sales figures for the Vita is that because of the earthquake, people have less funds for luxuries... of course, that doesn't explain how the 3DS is selling so well. The real reason is most likely that Sony's marketing and games lineup so far are so extremely american, to the point where it's almost funny. Shell out a few JRPGs for the Vita, and its sales will skyrocket. I suspect US sales will be better, but to what degree? I'm not certain.

@Reloading26 sony cannot and will not drop the price of the vita. they are already losing a substantial amount of money for each one sold as it is and do not plan on profiting for at least 3 years. you can expect a price drop after they actually begin making profits from the vita.

Nintendo needs competition from a company that knows how to COMPETE. Sony's Vita and the playstation brand have proven untrustworthy, not only as far as launches go (PSP hardware failures) but later on down the line (PSN hacks and unscrupulous EUL"A" terms).
