How you managed to kill it with a stick will never cease

to amaze me. you got balls buddy. for those of you who haven't

seen one close up to get an idea of the sheer size

he's just lucky ..but that is the power of adrenaline combined with

survival.. but ya hes lucky it wasn't a brown bear or a grizzly

cuz he'd be minced meat before he got a chance

to fight back ..black bear not nearly as big..

i live in BC too i get mother bears and cubs on

my property.. they dont normally get euthanized

unless they show agression towards people

as this one did.. luckily for jim west..

yes its sad that RCMp sometimes have to kill

cubs as well but theres no shortage of black

bear..and they CAN kill you .. I'll always think

of Jim West when i encounter bear in future.

Hey Jim. Finally got access to a computer to see this footage of your bear attack. Honestly when you told me i was kinda sceptical, but onces i seen the scars you showed me and now seeing this video i can see that your a pretty nuts dude lol. That guy is a very lucky man. He used to be a guide and he guided my cousin and uncel on a hunt and he went under watch for more then 2 minutes and survived. Then a year later he got hit by a truck and survived that to. At the recent family reunion in Rock creek he was there and he showed us the stick he hit the bear with and it was all dented and there was blood on it and everything. Hes getting the skull done and hes putting it in a display case and putting the stick with it as a memory

some dude fought a leopard recently. the dude grabbed its tounge with his bare hands. Ripped it out. and beat him to death with his fists.
