  • Didn't know that, this OldHippieMatt

  • Wow cool version just heard new cd "Safe upon the shore" on AOL for free has this tune a little different style GBS rocks!

  • @MrUnibaker The album version just doesn't compare to the live of this song.

  • It was originally an Irish folk song I believe, or something like that, Leadbelly did it, Zeppelin did it, now Great Big Sea has a version too.

  • Its a Leadbelly cover I believe, not Zeppelin, but its a good version of the tune. I was at a different show that night, but I would have liked to have caught this

  • @renlessard the song is public domain..came from England in the olden days..migrated to America and was picked up by southern blues artists and then by Led Zeppelin..according to Robert Plant.

  • It was an awesome show indeed.

My buddies and I were pretty surprised when they played this, but LOVED IT.

  • This song blew me away when I saw them in Akron on August 16th. I'm a hardcore Bobite, but I'm also a bodhran player and DAMN Seannie looks good up there!!!!!

  • This concert was the best... i don't think there will be many that will get even as close to as good as the show they put on that night... My advice, GBS comes to town, forgo any other plans and just see them play.

  • Damn I wanted to go to bluesfest, but I had waterpolo during all the shows I wanted to see... At least I can see Great Big Sea in kingston...

  • Sean's little dance and amazing singing in this video made my day wonderful

  • great song...awesome show K

  • that was an awesome show!! I was right at the front!

  • Great concert
